Medieval Werdenberg, Sankt Gallen Switzerland
Werdenberg in Canton Sankt Gallen, Switzerland on the border with Lichtenstein
This is the Montaschinerhaus in Werdenberg, oldest wooden settlement in Switzerland at the foot of the feudal-glorious castle, of the same name, dominating the landscape. Densely built town with picturesque alleys and a concave lake front, above it a steep vine slope; on the hillside the suburb.
In the distance you can see Mount Säntis.
As with most of our Swiss photos, there is very little information in English.

Gottlieben on Lake Constance, Switzerland
Hotel Drachenburg & Waaghaus in Gottlieben, Switzerland
Love the old car being parked there as it proves this is from 1963.
By the way, it was NOT Pieter's car, he had an Austin Glider back then.

Right behind hotel Drachenburg and restaurant Waaghaus is the River Rhine that passes through Lake Constance (Bodensee in German), and flows from Switzerland into Germany.
Pieter is looking at some fishing bait...?
Yep, he was still in his smoking years!

By the way, the River Rhine contains cold water and it flows right below the 'warmer water' of Lake Constance.
