Here I would love to share with you our travels and adventures as international mushroom consultants. MEMOIRS about husband Pieter Vedder, who was a SCIENTIFIC PIONEER in Commercial Mushroom Cultivation Education. His practical handbook is in 9 languages and is called the MUSHROOM BIBLE: https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/2020/08/modern-mushroom-growing-2020-harvesting.html
Hello Mariette, Our temperatures shot up into the high eighties, but last night plunged into the high fifties, and today is cold and rainy. That thirty degree drop in one day takes a lot out of you! I hope that you and Pieter will enjoy a comfortable spring! --Jim
Dearest Jim, We had the very same here, biking in short sleeves and shorts with 80s and then plunging back to low 40s at night with gusty winds. Same will happen a week from today and let's hope that from there we sail into spring. Hugs, Mariette
As always, you're very chic, Mariette, very stylish. I would describe my own clothing style as "clean and tidy." LOL.
Anyway, yes, it's lovely to put boots away, and here boots mean snow and ice boots! I've even started to swap out my heavy winter sweaters for lighter ones. :-)
Dearest Kim, Yes, the boot season is over with, even with a drop in temperature as we had and have still. This is not my daily style! Love to wear jeans or shorts and a top. The older we get, the more we look at the comfort of laundry + wearing. Hugs and hope you soon will see the snow and ice melt away. Mariette
Dearest Helen, Thank you and those boots are forever linked to me it seems; loved them then and still. The heels I've given away, due to my damaged toe nail it hurt too much wearing them. Wrote about that on January 18, 2021: NO WAY!!! At least I got those photos of better times... Escada pieces are keepers! Wishing you soon a start of spring as well. Hugs, Mariette
I loved Escada clothes - so well made, gorgeous fabrics and high end fashion. I bought some beautiful pieces back in the day when they had an outlet here, but sadly it closed years ago. Mary x
Dearest Mary, Thank you and I know you're taller! Pieter and I were talking the other day about how many Escada Outlets have closed in our area. We used to go mostly to Hilton Head, S.C. and before also to Chattanooga, TN but both are gone. Also Orlando, FL is gone and two others on the west coast near Sarasota... ONLY Ft. Lauderdale still has one and of course if your want to travel to the state of New York. We did that quite often when working in Connecticut as consultants. But good things last forever, that is good! Hugs, Mariette
