Picture taken here in Dublin when Dad (Papa) did help us move into the house.
We'll call Papa during the day; that is our usual contact with them across the Atlantic. On Papa's 90th birthday there was a partial solar eclipse that was visible from most of Europe. Last year they did get heavy snow shortly after his birthday and it was very cold. Now the weather is rather mild in The Netherlands, no frost at night versus some mean cold weather here in Georgia.

Gefeliciteerd met deze bijzondere verjaardag. Mijn moeder is nog lang geen 90 (66) maar mijn oma wordt volgende maand 93. Helaas is mijn vader niet ouder geworden dan 33, wat had ik hem graag meegemaakt op zo'n hoge leeftijd.

So far I tried orange cranberry with white chocolate (yum), molasses cookies (always good), sugar cookie with crushed peppermint and a cherry cocoa ball with an almond inside. Hier schaue ich auch nochmal. Ein stolzes Alter! Mein Vater wurde nur 62, er hatte zu sehr in der russ. Kriegsgefangenschaft gelitten und zahlreiche Folgen an seiner Gesundheit davongetragen!
ReplyDeleteJetzt weiß ich, woran es liegt, daß ich den Chrome-eigenen Translator nicht mehr sehe bei Deinem Blog. Du hast einen Microsoft-Translator eingebaut, der verhindert das, indem er sich oben in die Leiste stellt, wo sonst der automatische Chrome-Translator erscheint. So werde ich Deinen Blog wohl mit dem Internet Explorer lesen müssen, da in Chrome/CoolNovo auch noch andere Störungen auftreten.
