{1st DAFFODIL & LOVE IN THE MAIL}

Spring must be in the air, as our very first daffodil did show up. It is so lovely that I want to share it with you, as well as two special gifts that came in the mail for me.

First of all I want to show you this special box that came all the way across the Atlantic Ocean, from Rotterdam in The Netherlands. Sweet Saskia from the blog Join my Joy ← (click it) transformed her favorite matchbox into a little present.

She than did mail it out to me; sans matches and tulip...

 Here it is; on my side of the Ocean and this matchbox does match my tablecloth!

{1st Spring Flowers in our Garden}

We are having quite a late spring for 2011 but the first bulbs are blooming now in our garden!

Lovely Crocus

Seemingly shy, these crocus look into the world. A good week ago they got heavy rains pounding down onto them...

But today the sun was out!

Galanthus blossoms were nodding their heads in the wind; I had to wait for them to stop bobbing... 

It was a special Saturday; a beautiful sunny day and it was Mom's 87th birthday. 

Skype established the connection with the Old World, so we could congratulate her.
