{1st Spring Flowers in our Garden}


We are having quite a late spring for 2011 but the first bulbs are blooming now in our garden!



Lovely Crocus


Seemingly shy, these crocus look into the world. A good week ago they got heavy rains pounding down onto them...
But today the sun was out!


Sun rays shining upon crocus flowers



Galanthus blossoms were nodding their heads in the wind; I had to wait for them to stop bobbing... 
It was a special Saturday; a beautiful sunny day and it was Mom's 87th birthday. 
Skype established the connection with the Old World, so we could congratulate her.

    herrlich, diese Frühlingsboten. Die Schneeglöckchen schauen bei mir auch raus, aber ansonsen tut sich nichts.

    oh, du Glückliche, dass bei dir schon Blumen blühen. Hier blühen die Schneeglöckchen auch schon, aber noch keine Krokusse.
    Herzlichen Glückwunsch für deine Mama zum geburtstag. Ist das skype nicht eine tolle Sache. Jemand bei dem telefonieren auch sehen zu können und zusammen lachen zu dürfen, ist wundervoll.

    Hoi Mariette,

    Zo te zien is de natuur in Georgia net iets verder dan hier in Holland. Bij ons staan de sneeuwklokjes wel in bloei, maar de crocusjes nog in knop.

    Gefeliciteerd met de verjaardag van je moeder.
    Wat een uitvinding die Skype! Hadden jullie ook samen vlaai gegeten? Wij eten vlaai samen via de skype als er iemand jarig.

    Bij jullie is het voorjaar al echt op komst. Onder het sneeuw laagje zie ik wel de puntjes van de narcissen komen...
