{Scilla campanulata - Spanish Blue-Bells in our Garden}

Just another beauty in our gaden, which is so pretty up till now. The Scilla campanulata (Endymion, Hyacinthoides) or commonly called Spanish Blue-Bells, Wood Hyacinths. Portugal and Spain is their origin. Those bulbs make excellent naturalizers and each year you have more and more participating in a show of white bells. Wish you could see them in reality during a Garden Tour from Book an Event with us. But other than that, a virtual tour is the next best thing I have to offer; without coffee/tea and cake however... Our Scilla campanulata are besides our gazebo.

{Loropetalum chinense ‘Plum Delight’ Our Hot Pink Chinese Fringe Flower}

• Who does have this kind of shrub in the garden? A compact bush with a striking color of hot pink Chinese fringe flowers, or its botanical name: Loropetalum chinense 'Plum Delight' and came from Durio Nursery in Louisiana as usual, where most of our trees, shrubs and plants came from. They specialize in Magnolias and other Garden Aristocrats. It would be best to see this one in person at one of our Garden Tours from Book an Event with us.

{ENJOY Our White Azaleas}

The sun is shining again and I like to show you now our white azaleas. We do have quite a number of different varieties again. Some are native and others we did purchase from our favorite nurseries like Durio Nursery in New Orleans. Pieter did take this first photo today from our largest azalea, the Mrs. G. G. GERBING - This Southern Indian hybrid is a sport of 'George Lindsey Taber' with pure whtie flowers to 3½ inches across. Just click on the Durio Nursery link if you are interested in this one.

This is a Rhododendron 'High Tide' and photo taken on the rainy Sunday... It looks majestic with its golden splashes and a hint of pink.
