{Happy Easter with Our Pelargonium 'Rosebud'}

This year Easter is quite late and thus we have NO daffodils like for last year's {Easter Season} ← (click to go to that blog). So I had to fill my Villeroy & Boch egg vases with different blossoms this year. Our Pelargonium hybrid 'Pink Rosebud' and 'Appleblossom Rosebud' were just perfect! So have a look...

The 'Sheep' place card holders with a vintage cream porcelain egg tray and chicken salt & pepper with the Villeroy & Boch egg vases. Because of the color blossoms, I used only the pink and green egg vases. Those 'Appleblossom Rosebud' ←(click it) and 'Pink Rosebud' ←(click it) Pelargonium are available at Logee's Greenhouse. On April 12, they started budding up and were just perfect for a great Easter bouquet.

{Amaryllis White Nymph in Our Garden}

First off, I like to wish you all a Happy Easter weekend!

• On April 8 we had this beautiful Amaryllis White Nymph, blooming in our wood garden. Yes, it does grow outside year round! We were lucky to have it in full bloom before we even went on vacation to south Florida. Most of my blogs I had prepared ahead of time. But we've come home in time for the Easter weekend.
• This Amaryllis we got from White Flower Farm where we bought numerous plants and bulbs over the years. Highly fragrant huge double white blooms come on a very thick stalk, with even more than one bloom per stalk. It resides in our wood garden now for more than a decade. • There is a resident inside this Amaryllis... A spider has woven a cobweb to probably trap flying insects and than attacking them from below. Nicely sheltered from the rain him/herself, as those petals are rather thick and strong.

• A hairy resident...

{Rhododendron Alabamense in Our Garden}

For Good Friday one last post with our pure white Rhododendron Alabamense (Alabama Azalea) that were blooming on April 12. This is a late variety in white, with yellow blotches. A rather slow grower too. We got ours from Woodlanders. Our three Rhododendron Alabamense are in our wood garden. They are highly fragrant! Come join me for a Garden Tour...
