ReplyDeleteDearest Theresa,
DeleteOh, this is so unique and so different from any place!
Hugs,
Mariette
Hello Mariette, Those views are just stunning. From my window I can see some of Taiwan's mountains, but though beautiful, they are strictly amateur compared to the ones in your photos!
ReplyDelete--Jim
Dearest Jim,
DeleteThese views for sure are stunning but there are mountains and mountains. Each country is so different.
Kindest regards,
Mariette

The view at the Himalaya is stunning. A cricket ground, how can you possible come to the idea to play it up there.
ReplyDeleteDearest Marianne,
DeleteChail was the summer capital of one of the former Maharajas and you know that they could create anything they wished for. Just with hard labor by the little people...
Hugs,
Mariette

Lieve Nieneke,
Mariette
Wow what a view! I wonder how it's like to play cricket on such high ground. I imagine air is thin.
ReplyDeleteIn the first picture, I can see snow on Himalayan mountains very clearly - beautiful!
Dearest Tamago,
DeleteOh for sure you ought to be in good condition but you get used to it. When we started living and working in the mountains of central Java, it did not take us long. Healthy though.
Yes, the second photo also shows a snow capped mountain to the right!
Hugs,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteIt must have been a wonderful trip for Pieter to India and what amazing photos and the view is fabulous.
You have been much in my thoughts and sending love and hugs - have been meaning to send you an email and will do so soon.
Carolyn
Dearest Carolyn,
DeleteThis trip has been a life-changing one for Pieter and he has talked so much about it so I had to work it into these series for him. With love, as it meant so much to him.
You are such a dear; the support by blogger friends is something I would not want to miss!
Hugs and blessings to you,
Mariette
I would imagine the players would be short of breath at that altitude! great shots of an exotic place.
ReplyDeleteYes I. was back in the US by '81. Janey
Dearest Janey,
DeleteIt depends if you live at that altitude, you get quite used to it. We lived and worked for years in the mountains at an altitude of 7,000 ft. Exotic it sure was.
Funny that we both were in The Netherlands at the same time... and we followed soon to Georgia.
Hugs,
Mariette
My dear friend Mariette,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view of the Himalaya! I visited the Chail website and it is very interesting and the Maharaja’s Majestic Palace is amazing. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures.
Send you a big hug my dear
Love,
Laura
Dearest Laura,
DeleteIt is like a dream; another world but for sure at a cost for those that had to excavate the mountains in order to create this highest cricket play ground for the Maharaja.
Sending you hugs and blessings and gratitude; you are like a real sister to me!
Mariette
Beautiful Goy and beautiful views, which enjoy eyes. Regards.
