{My Lace Crocheted Handkerchief #4}

Today is time for showing you my Lace Crocheted Handkerchief #4. This one I made just for personal use, from a German Neue Mode magazine. As always I used the finest DMC cotton thread from France.
Very delicate lace work around a double hemstitched batiste handkerchief.
In Rebecca's hand painted vintage train case with roses, I do keep my lace heirlooms.
Rebecca's painting work from A Gathering Place, is also a prized possession.
Our roses from the garden match it beautifully and also the large gardenia flower adds romance to the setting.
Top right is the handkerchief # 61 that I did crochet after the Neue Mode pattern.
Lovely photo for the magazine, I admire more and more those professional photographers!
Do you keep heirlooms like that?
Handmade by a loved one or by yourself...
Just would love to know!

  15. My friend this handkerchief is so beautiful!!! To be able to enjoy something so elegant made by one's own hands - priceless!!

    My grandmother was wonderful at creating such elegant lovelies! Though I came to Canada when young - many of her treasures have remained in Europe - but on my next visit I will be seeing what my aunt may have set aside (for moi). My mother is also fabulously artistic and a master with crocheting, sewing, knitting, etc. ~ I know she has set aside pieces for each of.

    Wishing you a most lovely remainder of the week..much to you both, C. (HHL)

    I have always been in awe of someone who could take a skein of thread and needle and create somethink as fine as your heirloom quality pieces.
    Love to you, Ginger

  23. How lovely! I have no idea how you make such elegant and beautiful handkerchief. I don't think I can do ever! Haha.
    I am so sorry for what you went through after Spicy disappeared. I had a kitty who went missing, too. I was only 7 or 8 years old but I remember how sad I felt. I have many good memories with kitties I have had, but also many regrets. From these regrets though, I've learned and I try my best to be the best parent to my fur babies. I know you are always the best parent to your kitties, of course including Spicy!
    Wishing you a happy weekend :-)
