While we were in The Netherlands of course we also did visit with our dear Friends! One of those visits turned out to be a very lovely one and also because of their Sweet Russian Blue from Moscow (YES, she did travel by air some 2,000 km or 1,300 miles!) to her new FOREVER and PURRFECT home!
SWEET NIKA girl a Russian Blue from Moscow, Russia!
Of course I did feel like being back home with our own felines, as this girl LOVES people.
Our dear Russian born friend Olga, who studied linguistics at Moscow State Linguistic University, did bring this darling home to The Netherlands by plane.
How happy a cat–girl can be!
There for sure was NO language barrier; we got along PURRFECTLY well from the minute we eyed each other.
Wish there would be more of such loving and caring people like Olga & Chris from Logement 'Aan de Maas' Bed & Breakfast Belfeld.
Nika looks like GOROGORO & NIKONIKO from blogger friend Tamago about: My happy life with two happy cats...
Remember, we too did bring a cat–girl back home on a plane with us all the way from Acapulco, Mexico to GeorgiaUSA. That also was a flight of some 2,500 km or 1,500 miles!
It is also because of people like blogger friend Elna, from Sweden: Elna-Sudden who keeps kittens at her home till they get adopted and she does create bracelets for funding these placements of kittens.

On November 16, 2022 Nika left her human family...
Lisa, had Nika for three years before she traveled to The Netherlands and had to sit in quarantine in Düsseldorf, Germany for a month—due to incorrect paperwork.
Lisa is an artist and created this image of kind, affectionate Nika.

ReplyDeleteThat Russian cat is so cute and soft and cozy so to say :) Aww... I miss cats so much here! They always brighten up your day. It is really good indeed that there are people who care for animals so much. One of my friends also does the same - she keeps cats at home until somebody adopts them.
ReplyDeleteLovely, sweet cat. One of the stray cats in my garden just had 4 little kittens, 3 days old now. Have to find homes for this lot. Not easy in Greece, where there are a lot of stray cats.

Vrienden van ons hebben ook twee "russen", het zijn heel mooie poezen met een prachtige vacht, zo mooi egaal grijs. Helaas is er nu eentje overleden van ouderdom.

ReplyDeleteDimi...
What a beautiful furbaby ... you can see the adoration of both cat and human in your interaction with Nika... furbabies have so much to offer us humans - unconditional love, comfort and reason for being. I hope Skipper gets to go to a forever home - where ever in the world that may be. As always you are a blessing to helping others spread much needed compassion in the world. Hugs and Blessings, C. (HHL)
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely beautiful! I miss having a kitty.
ReplyDeleteSweet kitties. I've rescued several Persians here and paid for their vet fees and flights to Canada where they were adopted. And one was adopted here by a friend and was named Chloe. Of course, I've blogged about her before. :) Elna certainly does work tirelessly for the kitties in her area. Wishing you a wonderful day. Tammy

groetjes
Dear Mariette,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post today and aren't cats the sweetest. We had friends that have a Russian blue and he grew to be a very large, friendly and gorgeous cat. He was happy to sit on your lap and snuggle up.
Hope that you have a wonderful weekend and many thanks for visiting me.
hugs
Carolyn
Ich wünsche Skipper eine liebevolle Familie. ♥
Liebe Grüsse
Julia

My dear friend Mariette:
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post you shared with us. Nika is so sweet and beautiful. I hope Joan can find a new home for Skipper, she does such a wonderful job taking care of this kittens. Unfortunately we can not adopt cats or dogs because my husband is allergic to them.
And you look so beautiful and so happy in your pictures as always. By the way, thank you so much for your advice for my blog, I didn't know I could Import and then Export all the information to anew blog and that is what I did, thanks to you my dear friend. Very soon I will email you since I've been busy fixing my new blog.
Send you a big hug
Love,
Laura
Dearest Mariette
ReplyDeleteThat's the great advantage with animals - we understand each other without having to worry about the language.
Nika is very beautiful!
Really hope Miss skipper can get a new home.
Hugs to you
Kajsa
What a looker! It's a shame that so many irresponsible pet owners won't have their pets fixed. Every animal deserves a place to call home. I hope they find a place for this little one - wish I could adopt them all. <3
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, up-lifting post. So happy for that very fortunate cat that your friends have adopted. Such a beauty. I do hope little Skipper finds a home. There are so many in need. :( Hugs, Deb
