{First Nikon Photos - Scarlet Wisteria}

Well, since we lost our Fuji camera at the HYATT House Miami Airport where it more than likely was placed on top of the safe deposit when we were packing up and checking out; we got a new one.
When we did call the hotel about it, nothing had been found; sad but true. The housekeeping people were already knocking on our door twice, before we rolled out at noon. With our Platinum card we are allowed to check out as late as 2:00 PM.
In that dark closet without any light, for ironing board and safe deposit, which is on the floor, one can easily forget an item. Pieter had to get on his knees for unloading the safe; laptop, iPad, camera etc... We cannot blame him or myself. Just bad fate!
Costco did have a Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera 2 Lens Bundle on sale so that's what we got!
Husband Pieter captured our beautiful exotic Sesbania punica - Scarlet Wisteria
Very full blossoms with all the rain we got
Looks like our new Nikon is capable of doing the job!
Costco still has it on sale through July 26...

Thanks for the wonderful comment on my new antique Frenchy table. We are very happy with both results...with ours and DD's! You made me smile when you told me the story about your dear Sil and how it reminded you of her, I will always remember this.
    Hugs sweet lady.

  7. O dat is jammer zeg, had je er nog foto's op zitten? Ik heb ook weer mijn oude camera terug, iemand in Almere bood dezelfde zo goed als nieuw aan tegen een heel schappelijke prijs. We konden hem zo ophalen.

Ja ook dat nog... foto's van onze lieve vrienden in Miami waar we net geweest waren.
Jij bofte dus dat je een zelfde camera terugkreeg! Maar niet iedereen is eerlijk op deze wereld, al zat er ook een adressticker op.

Paola

How beautiful your photos are taken with the new camera - love how clear the picture is and the wisteria so very pretty.
Shame that you lost your other camera.
Many thanks for your kind visit - and no I do not export my blog and just have to put it down that I have lost my lovely comments. I do not know why people could not leave a message and maybe it was just a problem with blogger at that time.
Hope you have a great weekend

Thank you and this is a very exotic wisteria which we enjoy each summer.
So sorry you lost your comments permanently... Sad but a learning curve!
Don't know what causes such temporarily blocked commenting at times but over the years I have learned NOT to change anything as the problem lies with Blogger most of the times. It will solve itself in days... Not worth trying to risk such a fate as you lived through. Maybe best to start exporting your blog from now on, to save it on you PC for who knows when you might ever need it. If you do it monthly or whatever schedule, your loss can never be that great.
      Happy weekend to you.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  21. Dearest Mariette, the pictures of the wisteria are gorgeous! I love all kinds of wisteria, the purple variety is more common in Italy and it's blooming time is the spring.
I'm sorry for the loss of your camera... how annoying...
Thank you for being such a faithful reader of my poor, neglected blog <3 I'm now enjoying my last week in Rhodes and making the best of it! Thank you for all your sweet words and wishes, my dear friend!!!

This is a late blooming wisteria variety indeed and perfect under the summer sun. We enjoy the camera, however annoying indeed for not having the camera being turned in to the hotel's lost and found items so they could notify their customer...
Oh, enjoy your time as it is so precious and it is like tanking energy for the remainder of the year!
Hugs and best wishes for a great final week at paradise for you dear!

  23. Oh dear, what a shame about your camera Mariette.
    Your new one looks marvellous.
I had a beautiful hand spun and hand weaved soft mohair pashmina that I was very fond of and I left it on a train from France to Rome.... maddening as I've never found a replacement.
