So far this summer we have had lots of late afternoon rain with often thunder. Needless to say that we do have quite a LUSH, GREEN GARDEN...
It looks almost tropical and the weeds are of course growing fast too...
The gazebo is being dwarfed by such huge trees!
Our Windmill and Canary Island palms look happy too...
The Quercus Virginiana Grand View Gold (r) is now less golden as in the spring.

Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteYour having a beautiful green Garden in the spring, I was always your gazebo hugs trees.
Even you has rain for few days.
I have for already a month time.
Hugs and love to you!
Michiko
Dearest Michiko,
DeleteThis year it is really green because we got rain almost every single day of summer. Mainly late afternoon a thunder storm would pass over with lots of rain.
Not ongoing rain like you mention... that is kind of dreary in the winter.
Sending you hugs and love,
Mariette
Oh dear Mariette your garden looks more like a lovely park! I love all that pretty shaved grass, so neat and pretty, you feel like rolling on it! I love your gazebo image amidst the 'park.'
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit honey. Yes, they're nice at the European shop, they bring fabulous things and the furniture is to die for and they know how I love antiques and vintage. They really sell everything from people that come from all over the country, even though the big cities have many more antique shops!
Hugs,
FABBY
Dearest Fabby,
DeleteThank you and yes, it is more like a park, we can walk on our walk ways, through the woodgarden, adjacent to this patch of green grass. It looks at its prettiest I guess, can't recall any summer like this one!
You do have exquisite pieces of furniture and other objects and in such prestine condition too. You will cherish it and later your daughters will.
Hugs,
Mariette
Deaerst Mariette,

Must be a grest to have this arround your house!

ReplyDeleteDearest Georgette,
DeleteThank you very much and wishing you both again lots of strength.

Lieve Mariette,
Mariette
The rain has certainly refreshed your garden. It looks green and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHugs Kay

Dimi...
Dearest Dimi,
DeleteWe do enjoy our summer around the home, this is very beautiful and gives us so much pleasure and our felines are happy in their paradise!
Hugs,
Mariette
Your garden is really beautiful, Mariette♡♡♡ From the picture, people may think it as a park with rich greenery. We were busy weeding both our tiny garden and parent's(^^;)
ReplyDeleteSending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Dearest Miyako,
DeleteThank you, yes if you compare to Japanese or Dutch sizing of gardens, it definitely looks like a park!
No matter how large or small a garden is; weeding is a tedious job!
Hugs and love to you from Georgia/USA
Mariette
Your garden truly is lush and green, Mariette. We've had a lot of rain down here, too, but I'm not complaining. I find it very comforting, even if that means we have to mow more often! xo
ReplyDeleteDearest Stacy,
DeleteOh but mowing more often is by far not as hard working than dragging around with the water hose in an attempt to keep things alive...
We enjoy it too!
Hugs,
Mariette
Dear Mariette,
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks so lush and green and you don't mind the rain, if it makes your garden look like this.
Love the big trees around the gazebo.
Happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn
Dearest Carolyn,
DeleteNo we really enjoy this summer and we applaud the fact that we did not need to water at all so far.
Hugs,
Mariette
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteDearest Jo-Anne,
DeleteThank you, we enjoy this year's look very much!
Hugs,
Mariette
Sieht wundervoll aus! Bei uns in Österreich hats grad 35 Grad... Wir schwitzen! Hoffe, dass es Dir gut geht!! Liebe Grüße, Gabriella
ReplyDeleteLiebe Gabriella,
DeleteDiesen Sommer ist bei lange nah nicht so heiss wie sonst weil es oft bewölkt ist mit Regen am späten Nachmittag oder Abend. Danach ist es immer herrlich abgekühlt!
Alles geht gut hier.
Liebe Grüsse,
Mariette
Liebe Mariette,
ReplyDeleteein wunderschöner Garten.
Einen guten Start ins Wochenende wüncht Dir
Irmi
Liebe Irmi,
DeleteDanke es macht auch viel Freude so.
Dir auch noch einen schönen Sonntagabend.
Liebe Grüsse,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette...Your garden looks perfect. We too, have been having a lush summer. It's so nice not having to worry quite so much about forest fires or wells running dry. Currently Proge is waiting for stuff to dry enough so he can mow!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the week ahead......*s*
Dearest Suzi,
DeleteExactly, the danger for wild fires diminishes when rain is more frequent.
We enjoy this summer.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dear Mariette,
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks like a beautiful park! It must be so lovely to stroll through the paths and visit all your lovingly planted gardens and trees. The Gazebo looks like a cool oasis when it is hot, and also a place to get out of a sudden rain shower! So peaceful, but I know it is a lot of hard work and love that goes into it.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend and hope for a bit of sunshine.
Hugs xo
Karen
Dearest Karen,
DeleteThank you and it is great for strolling through our own garden and woodgarden.
Such a garden indeed takes a lot of back braking hard work; not for free and never easy but as long as we manage, we enjoy it!
Enjoy your Sunday and sending you some sunshine (we had clouds, it's on and off).
Hugs,
Mariette
Your garden is really lush and does look like tropical garden!
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining a lot here this weekend. I sure hope more sunshine, but I like hearing rain, too :-)
Dearest Tamago,
DeleteWell, if rain results indeed in such a lush tropical looking garden, we don't mind the rain. In-between some sunshine is okay even if it means the balcony and the gazebo is often wet when we want to eat supper there...
Sending you hugs, a couple of hours up north!
Mariette
