Back to our trip to New York City on August 28, 2015...
So many things have happened in-between that I never had time to work these photos in.
BUT, with the world-wide media coverage about Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump, guess it is about time that I show them!
I've taken this photo of the TRUMP TOWER, with my iPhone 6 Plus, from the bus...
Wish they would have given us time to get inside!
We'll have to go back again and explore this fascinating city a bit more in depth.
Provided, Pieter's knee will get somewhat better so he can endure the walking.
This all-glass structure got completed in 1983, the year that we came to the USA.
Inside there are luxury condominiums, offices, stores and restaurants and yes, having a cappuccino there for a break would have been great!
You can also find Trump Tower New York on Face Book, just click the pink hyperlink.
Has any of you had the privilege of dining or having a cup of coffee/tea inside one of the Trump Tower restaurants?

Liebe Mariette,
ReplyDeletedein Post erfreut mich in gewohnter Schönheit.
Sonnige Grüße
Elisabeth
ReplyDeleteI guess it is not nice to talk badly about someone that you haven't met....so I will say nothing at all.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Mariette,
ReplyDeleteein imposantes Gebäude. Aber ansonsten
möchte ich mich über den gewissen Herrn
nicht auslassen.
Einen schönen Wochenteiler wünscht Dir
Irmi
I remember seeing this tower when I visited NY years ago. Also saw one in Las Vegas. I think I've heard there is a plan that the tower will be built in Atlanta, too?
ReplyDeleteUn grattacielo lussuoso, lo si vede già dall'ingresso. E che dire Donald Trump....no comment, vedremo cosa la vostra Nazione sceglierà come Presidente. Un forte e grande abbraccio. Paola
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump tower is fantastic and awesome, but.......nothing to say about him.

Yes, I've had lunch at the Trump Tower while visiting friends in NYC on a shopping spree. It's quite impressive inside. Also, Dan and I splurged on a weekend at his Hotel, The Trump International, near Lincoln Center. Very posh and very expensive, but enjoyed every minute. Not crazy about the man, himself, but he is "interesting."
ReplyDeleteGros bisous ma chère amie,

Que bom que ele tem um lado humano e ajuda as pessoas que passam por dificuldade. Lindo prédio dele. Um dia quero conhecer.
ReplyDeleteBjos tenha uma ótima semana.
I don't remember having seen this tower when I was in N.Y. so, I definitely did not have the chance to have some coffee there!!!!
ReplyDeleteOn your remark about Pieter's knee, I hope it gets well soon, but I was just wondering: I am sure you enjoy your bikes, but isn't biking bad for the knees?
(maybe not...I have no idea!).
Many many hugs to you, dear Mariette!
Dearest Mariette; Oh, I wish I could visit NYC and I first knew about this tower though TV news connected with this Presidential candidate. The all-glass structure must be worth seeing, Dear friend. And I'm interested in election as well.
ReplyDeleteSending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear Japanese friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
