We were very lucky for having a few white gladiolus in a vase, just before the tropical rain hit our part of Georgia for a full day...
Yes, this photo is taken on the dark and dreary D-DAY when it rained all day...
Guess our Gladiolus want to teach us some history as the purple ones bloomed around Memorial Day!

After such heavy rain, those flowers are knocked down and gone...
There were more but we could not enjoy them!

Dear Mariette - it was very fortunate that you picked yourself a bunch of the lovely white Gladiolus before the rains came and destroyed the others. You have reminded me that I have never grown Gladiolus, if I see some corms I will give them a try.

ReplyDeleteOh, bei Euch blühen schon die Gladiolen? Das dauert bei uns noch ein Weilchen. Sicherlich habt Ihr es derzeit auch ziemlich warm. Bei uns ist es schon länger sehr schön, deshalb verbringe ich auch lieber viel Zeit im Garten und in der Natur.
