The delivery was on the 18th of January and we had to unpack and save the box and start Crating The Other Miele Dishwasher...
Not an easy task!
But here it is, ready for being placed inside the box together by husband Pieter and me.
Pieter even had reinforced the side panels.
Using some plywood and drilling holes for fastening it with screws.
All things tied up...
Detail of the reinforced side parts...
Yay we managed together to get it inside this box!
Don't ask how...
By the end of the day on the 19th of January, the driver did stop by to pick up the 1st non-functioning Miele Dishwasher.
End of the Saga...

ReplyDeleteI hope you are all set now!
Thanks for your sweet comments, Mariette, it seems I never get the time to sit down and visit my friends' blogs! But in a way, it keeps me from mulling thoughts too much.
Keep well and enjoy your weekend :)
Liebe Mariette,
ReplyDeletederartige Aktionen bringen immer Frust mit sich,
Hoffentlich habt ihr einen funktionierenden
Geschirspüler zurückbekommen.
Ein schönes Wochenende wünscht
Irmi
Liebe Irmi,
DeleteJa, die kam schon am Tag vorher. Die erste, die nicht funktionierte mußte in die Kiste und wurde am nächsten Tag wieder abgeholt zum Transport nach Boca Raton in Florida.
Ende Miele Geschichte... Und hoffentlich für die nächste zwanzig Jahren!
Lieber Gruß,
Mariette
The saga of home ownership. So distressing when appliance quit working. We came home after 5 months away one year and discovered our fridge had quit working. We smelled it when we opened the door. Now we empty it completely before we leave...just in case.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, that was really a lot of work for you! It's such a large and heavy stuff. Not like you return the toaster...
ReplyDeleteGlad the dishwasher saga was over :-)
