Yep, January 18 of 2016 was the happy day that finally our replacement New Miele Dishwasher Arrived!
Same procedure as on December 28...
Pieter in our Toyota RAV4 functioned as the pilot car, guiding this 18-wheeler into our subdivision.
This truck did have at least a lift.
Here it comes!
We had already taken the non-working one out of its opening...
There is the non-functioning Miele Dishwasher, waiting to be crated into the box from the 2nd one.
Here is the 2nd New Miele Dishwasher; inside our kitchen!
Now the exciting time for getting it out, placing and connecting it and seeing if THIS will work!

Since Pieter did not fit into this drawer opening for guiding the drain hose, I had to get inside.
It is almost inside...
The tile baseboard needs still to be put back etc.
It got leveled and IT WORKS!
Cheering after so many months with problems.
And finally I can start doing some much needed thorough cleaning!

ReplyDeleteI can see how you must be happy to have your dish washer going again. Miele is such a great brand and we have the front loader washing machine which I love. The house we rented in Port Douglas had Miele everything and was most impressed with the dishwasher as the plates, cutlery and glasses fitted in the racks perfectly. Enjoy your week and your new dishwasher

Dear Mariette - it must have been a great relief to finally have a dishwasher that works. Here, when I bought a new dishwasher, the delivery chap set it up for me.

DeleteThe only difference is that you got it delivered rather locally and straight from the dealer where you bought it. That service is available to people in the Atlanta area but not like 2.5 hours driving distance away. This was just a general freight liner and had nothing to do with the Miele dishwasher in regard to setting it up. We both agreed upon doing that ourselves!

DeleteJa, die pech kun je hebben natuurlijk maar ze hebben het heel professioneel opgelost. Een nieuwe gestuurd en morgen publish ik het vervolg van het ophalen van de eerste. Einde verhaal en hopelijk genieten we weer zo'n 20 jaar lang van een top Miele product.

So glad the second new dishwasher worked! You had to wait until Jan 18 - I imagine you were quite tired of hand washing everything....! I love that your dishwasher tells you how long it will take to finish :-)

Dearest Mariette; Wow, I've never seen Such Huge Track and won't be able to run Japanese narrow road :-) Happy to know the second new dishwasher worked and must have been long endurance with a hard work! Well, dishwasher can't fit for our tiny (like me) kitchen p;-)
