Again we had a wonderful time at our favorite home away from home: Hyatt House Miami Airport
It is a huge hotel, actually apartment style guest rooms with a big tropical garden in the center and surrounding it.
Below this post you find links from previous visits to this favorite Hyatt House; like finding a Muscovy Duck near the parking lot.
But this time we were in for a surprise or two...
Yep, this regal looking Peacock was walking around in the garden and on the patio that connects garden and other areas.
Photo is taken from our apartment down, overlooking the pool, on July 3rd.
We love their beds with the down duvet & pillows...
Near the patio outside of the pool area, we spotted two Peacoks!
And this sweet Kitty with 3-½ legs.
It really felt like being home with our own pets!
This kitty sat with us, under our table...
It was lucky as we did have some cat kibbles in the car!
That made her bond with us right away after receiving some treats.
The two Peacocks were very tame as well but one was a lot fatter and also very bossy!
Love their plumage!
Have you ever stayed at a hotel with such exotic birds?
Hope you enjoyed our photos and thanks for your visit!

Liebe Mariette,
ReplyDeletevielen Dank für deinen interessanten Post.
Liebe Grüße

Hope you had a lovely time in Florida Mariette! I enoyed browsing through your photo's. The hotel looks luxurious! I can imagine how you enjoy staying there. Sorry I haven't been around lately, but somehow I don't seem to get around sitting behind my computer working on my blog that much any more. 'The boyfriend' takes up a lot of time! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!

What a fabulous adventure!! I can't say I have stayed at a hotel with Peacocks ... but growing up in Portugal ... I remember being fascinated by peacocks in a park my nanny took me too. Seeing these brought back wonderful childhood memories. I have often thought about getting a couple for the country home .. but am afraid our Canadian winters would not be good for them. Thank you for the memories ... hugs to you both!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and relaxing place to 'get away', my dear Mariette! I love your little visitors, too. Such a sweet little kitty. The peacocks have such pretty feathers and 'crowns' - so regal-looking. I would certainly enjoy that comfortable and cozy room, too. Sending hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteDearest Mariette,
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful place ... so lovely with the Peacocks and the sweet little Kitty arround.
Wishing you a wonderful and lovely week,
sending Love and hugs and blessings, Claudia xo
Funny the peacocks. Looks like a lovely hotel.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peacocks and adorable kitty! It's nice they are so relaxed and don't seem to mind each other. (Goro would be hunting peacocks!) How lovely you bonded with the kitty. It's always good to have some cat food with you, isn't it? I have cat food in my office drawer, just in case :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hotel Mariette. Loved the peacocks and the little kitten.
ReplyDeletePeacocks are pretty amazing, aren't they? I've not stayed at a hotel like this, but my daughter said there were penguins walking around at their hotel on Maui. She said it was so much fun to watch them.
ReplyDeleteHope both you and Pieter are doing well. Love, Deborah
ReplyDeleteDearest Mariette.

Dear Mariette,
ReplyDeleteHow lucky! You saw such friendly peacocks and adorable cat! The bard has beautiful feather and pretty combs!
I am sure you had a relaxing time in the beautiful hotel!
Looks like a very nice place to spend a little time. We saw white peacocks in Mississippi a couple of years ago. I didn't realize the males roost in trees so that was funny to see.
ReplyDeleteI haven's seen any peacocks for many years around where we live. You were lucky to be able to have them so close to you! And that poor little kitty was so sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a lovely new week, my dear Mariette!!!!
A nice visit :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a silent and healty weekend
