When the weather is colder it is great for having a bite that comes hot from the oven!
Hot and spicy and served with baby arugula...
Placemat is from Le Jacquard Français with Gero Zilmeta 528 Menuet knife and fork.
Using the special Taco Holders and shells from Trader Joe's, I've filled them with grass fed ground beef 93% lean from Whole Foods Market.
Topped with some cheese (for us the lowest sodium content available...)
After 15 minutes in the oven... on 375℉ they're ready to eat!
Ready to enjoy!
For recipe and also spice mix see below post.

Well even though I'm a non-meat eater I must say these look delicious Mariette, and Bob would join you in a heartbeat!
ReplyDeleteLove anything with the jacquard weave - that placemat is gorgeous.
Dearest Mary,
DeleteThank you and Le Jacquard Français is indeed exceptional, especial anything with roses...😉
Hugs,
Mariette
These look very tasty. Save some for me.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteThank you and you're quite welcome for tasting some!

Mariette
Hello Mariette, It's fun to see a casual food like tacos served on your traditional tableware. It would be fun to experiment with tacos, but I would have to completely reinvent the recipe. Perhaps when I am in the U.S. I can experiment a little.

Dearest Jim,
DeleteBoth of us very seldom eat anything by hand. After over 38 years, we've not 'yet' americanized.
Maybe not all spices are available for you and the meat can be substituted by many different forms.
Hoping you will be able to travel back!
Hugs,
Mariette
Delicious looking. I should do them. I haven't done them in a long time.
ReplyDeleteDearest Anne,
DeleteThank you and they really are so good!
Hugs,
Mariette
Abrazos,
Mariette
There is something so fun about using those taco holders. What a fabulous way to enjoy tacos! I hope you have an amazing week!!
ReplyDeleteDearest Heidi,
DeleteThey are quite an invention and are absolutely practical.
Once the cheese has melted down and they come out of the oven, they're piping hot.
Now you can grab them easily with some tongs.
Hugs,
Mariette
A favorite of mine, and these look delicious.
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
DeleteWe both enjoy them regularly!
Hugs,
Mariette
Hello and best regards. The dish looks delicious. I am proud of my country, but not necessarily of its leaders. Thank you for remembering me.
ReplyDeleteDearest Giga,
DeleteIt is a great comfort food for colder days.
You certainly are remembered!

Mariette

Dearest Christina,
DeleteThank you and yes, when it is 'watery' cold, those are so good fresh from the oven!

Probably one of my favorite meals is tacos! I could eat tacos from now until eternity!. When I was pregnant with my oldest son Jeff, I constantly craved tacos. LOL! Your tacos look oh-so-yummy, dear Mariette! Blessings to you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteDearest Diana,
DeleteThank you and yes we both love these and it is an almost weekly thing here at our home.
Hugs,
Mariette
