HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all American readers!
Before I've mentioned how hard it was to keep all our house plants alive, while being away for 3 weeks at a time, doing consulting work.
With the water computer inside our greenhouse, things worked out perfect, together with a heater for the colder period.
Here is our excellent collection from that time...
This was around Christmas in1985, our previous home where we had solid oak indoor shutters that were not painted white.
Me crocheting on some curtain with my feet up onto the leather foot stool.
You can see the same solid oak indoor shutters here now open.

Happy Thanksgiving Mariette. Hope you have a lovely day with your husband.
ReplyDeleteDearest Sami,
DeleteThank you but for us it is every day being grateful for still being alive and for so many other things!
Hugs,
Mariette
Hello Mariette, These are some pictures of domestic comfort, the reward for all of your and Pieter's hard work, both professionally and in creating a home. The key to an interesting interior is to have unique items like your custom woodwork or those handsome white Delft flower pots that no one else will have.

Dearest Jim,
DeleteYou are so right about that, we always tried to give our home a 'soul' as it should reflect its owners.
Both of us don't live according to prescribed behavior!
Hugs,
Mariette
A wonderful memory.
ReplyDeleteDearest Anne,
DeleteYes, from an era when our 'green children' were still alive!
Hugs,
Mariette
Abrazos,
Mariette
