Yes it sure did feel GREAT for being home again!
Regardless all the love and joy from being with friends and family...
Pieter looking happy as well on the day after my return.
We were ready to go to Church.
Still bird–poop from those sweet Eastern Phoebe babies that left their nest while I was abroad.
Pot Plants on our Patio...
Happy me in my summery silk Escada dress and wearing my pearls and Marc Cain shoes.
The next day, back on my bike and riding along with my Pieter
Pieter in his t–shirt on our usual wooden bench on a friend's property for our mid–way rest stop.
Home from another bike ride and the kitty welcome committee is always on the driveway!
From left to right: sibling kitties Tiggy–Tiger, Spunky and Spooky–boy.
Sibling brother Bandido to the left and front sister–by–adoption Speckie also joined now.

buon inizio settimana Mariette!
ReplyDeleteCara Olga,
DeleteGrazie e lo stesso a te!
Abbracci,
Mariette
They are lovely cat,-))
ReplyDeleteDearest Anne,
DeleteYes, they are our very loyal companions!
Hugs,
Mariette
Liefs,
Mariette
So lovely the cats welcoming you back home. They look so friendly. Enjoy your bike rides; hope the weather is good.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteYes it is and they always do that! Very friendly and loyal companions.
Soon we will be on our bikes again and ride around.
Hugs,
Mariette
ReplyDeleteDe tanto hacer ejercicios tienen unos estupendos cuerpos.
Besos.
Abrazos,
Mariette
That was quite the welcome home "party!" :-)
ReplyDeleteDearest Kim,
DeleteYes, it is and we get that each time when we're gone; no matter for how long.
We both are looking forward to coming home on Tuesday evening; kitties will become magnets!
Hugs,
Mariette
I can see those kitties are spoiled Both of you so fit and trim. I wish I didn't get dizzy sometimes riding. Only once in a while. Irritating it is. Hugs, betsy
ReplyDeleteDearest Betsy,
DeleteYes, our fur–babies ARE spoiled but they give so much back with their loyalty and playfulness.
Sad that you are having problems riding a bike; it is a great thing to do out in the open and fresh air.
Hugs,
Mariette
Mariette
Dutch people are such amazing cyclists! I think that is why you all have such long beautiful legs.
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic, Mariette and so does Pieter.
A post to share - https://ofmiceandramen.blogspot.com/2019/09/dutch-cyclists.html
Hugs and blessings, my dearest friend.
Dearest Veronica,
DeleteThank you but the long legs you are born with, you only keep them trim and muscled by biking... 😉
That was a hilarious post but all from the West of The Netherlands and quite different manners from the South.
Soon we both will be on our bikes again!
Hugs,
Mariette
These bike rides look pretty fun.
ReplyDeletexoxo

Mariette
Oops of course you are correct. How could I forget that I 40 goes across the panhandle…right straight through Amarillo! Wondering about my brain these days!!!
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
DeleteNothing wrong with you, we all forget at times...
Hugs,
Mariette
Love the kitties.
ReplyDeleteDearest Debby,
DeleteSo do we; each time we come home they welcome us!
Hugs,
Mariette
What a lovely post showing you and Pieter working to remain fit and active in these 'golden years'.
ReplyDeleteYou really deserve accolades for all you do, traveling on four wheels, and then returning home only to pull on those biking shorts and helmets and off you go on just two wheels! I've not been able to ride a bike in many years, but recall my youth when it was my one and only mode of transport - other than public bus - and I covered a lot of English countryside as well as riding to and from school. Do you have electric bikes Mariette?
Sweet kitties - you really are welcomed home I can see - they must miss you because I know you are such good 'parents', and yes, there is no place like home.
Have a great weekend - hopefully fewer storms. 95F here today so staying inside.
Hugs - Mary
Dearest Mary,
DeleteNo, I did not travel on four wheels but on a plane... Our private driver did come to the airport, with Pieter, for picking me up. But it sure was great for riding my own electric bike again!
We both love doing this, in the countryside as we have no bike lanes here.
Out West there are plenty of bike lanes we discovered but not 'yet' here...
Our kitties are clinging very much to their human parents!
Hugs,
Mariette
