An overview of our biking in 2022
A very sunny Sunday in November, 2022
It was 21°C or 69.8°F
This was earlier in November. Sunny but chilly...
Wearing gloves and our skull cap under the helmet to protect the ears from the wind as we can go at a rather high speed on those E-bikes when going down hill.
On December 4, was my final E-bike ride for the year!
Pieter more often did run some errands and has biked far more frequently.
Pieter's E-bike rides over 2022:
1,550.5 km or 963 miles
A total of 93 rides... one for each year in age!
My E-bike rides over 2022 was 891.4 km or 554 miles
A total of 34 rides...
A bit more for both of us with the July bike rides at Jenny Lake in Wyoming and also recently in December Biking Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort ←(click link for Relive video) in Orlando, Florida .
And also a few short walks.
Planning to roll my bike again in 2023—did so far twice this month and Pieter five times.

Bravo to you both. That's a lot of mileage. You two are literally glowing in those jackets. May you have many more rides in 2023.

Solía montar en bicicleta con solo 12 años. Mi padre me acompañaba en la suya y salíamos en dirección al campo. Llegábamos a una finca que estaría a unos 4 ó 5 kms y allí teníamos el almuerzo en casa de unos familiares cercanos. Al cabo de los años dejé de hacerlo, por las ocupaciones que tenía y allí se acabó todo.

I can't recall the last time I rode a bike, Mariette - it's just too hilly around here to do so. Also, with my balance issues, it's not something I'm longing to take up! You two look great in your riding gear. Keep up the great workouts!

Here it is hilly but with our E-bikes we still manage.

How wonderful to still be riding your bikes. That's smart to wear bright colors when doing so. My brother used to ride the trails, and it was such peaceful time for him. And I used to ride many years ago too, but mostly in town. I like the mint colors of your bike, and what a great exercise this is for you. Keep on riding, Mariette. : )

Making sure to be visible is a MUST.
Pieter's bike is the Fern Metallic color and mine was not available in that color.
We certainly will keep on riding—provided the heavy rains will stop...🚴

DeleteJa, dat zijn geweldige E–bikes en ze lopen ook zo zalig. Als we op vakantie op een goedkoper leenmodel moeten fietsen is dat altijd even wennen, ook qua stabiliteit.
We hebben nu regendagen en nog meer volgens de verwachting, ook op zondag flink onweer. Maar we kijken beiden weer uit om zo'n trips te kunnen maken!
