{Chocolates from Ria IT'S ME...}

Sunday was the perfect afternoon for having our chocolates on the balcony because it was such a lovely day. Yes, I am talking about THE chocolates from Ria IT'S ME... Don't they look lovely on the French Gien Rose china and the linen rose damask tablecloth?
With a cup of hot chocolate, they were a perfect match. For me the dark chocolate was my choice...

We even had some fragrant roses from our garden. That is quite a miracle after the very hot and dry summer.

For us on Sunday it was a perfect NAZOMER...

{Our Papyrus Plant}

On May 3rd Pieter did plant his Papyrus plant alongside our pond. It was a gift from dear friends. This is THE Papyrus plant that also grew alongside the river Nile in Egypt, in the third millennium BC. But with the drought we were facing this summer and extremely hot weather, the plant does not look as happy as in May... Have a look.

This is on May 3, just planted and happy!

Here you see the Papyrus plant on October 12. Our pond held water all summer, due to an underground spring, but it has been in that scorching heat for a couple of months.

Let's hope it will look healthy again, come spring...
