{Smelling the Verbenas}

Yes, our felines often do teach us how we ought to enjoy our lives... They eat, play, groom and relax more than their human parents. Our Spicy even likes 'Smelling the Verbenas'. On their favorite spot, up high on the retainer wall adjacent to our driveway where the fiberglass window boxes are hung with Verbenas. Don't you envy your cats at times, when they enjoy their luxury Resort & Spa lifestyle? While we have to clean, cook and do laundry... But we don't mind serving them, do we? Let me know, what is your take on that.

Those are the best flower boxes on the market. 

The only draw back is that ours are very heavy for lifting them off the wall...

We better would have chosen four lengths instead of three!

No wonder they use Verbena for French milled soaps, hand wash, hand cream and such...

Probably a nosy feline did point them into the right direction!

{2009-09-19 My Domain: MariettesBacktoBasics.com}

My Domain Name: MariettesBacktoBasics.com has its 3rd Birthday! It looks like the time ahead of us is looking good. The end of 2009, I was in excruciating pain and that resulted in being almost completely paralyzed by January of 2010. Again, in September of 2010 we ran out of luck as husband Pieter, out of the blue, had heart problems and needed open heart surgery... Not much time for my business than. Neither for blogging. Last year in September, I was all set for it and well prepared but my Domain Name expired... The advertising company that set up my business had closed up everything and left my Domain Name sitting, without passing it on to me, neither telling me they went out of business... For about three weeks it was off the air. My new webmaster tried his very best to get it moved, but he couldn't and the password was not to be found... I had to buy it back from an Auction on October 26, 2011.

Wish I could pour you a nice cup of tea and sit down together...

This third birthday is reason enough to celebrate!

My winning bid for buying my own Domain Name back almost had me do the Happy Dance!

Funny how my Domain Name: MariettesBacktoBasics.com in Domains Registered on 2009-09-19 appears on the Internet, followed by marijuana-cigarette...

But how could I have known about this weird alphabetical line up? 

That marijuana business is not even around anymore but it's stuck  here on the Internet forever it seems like.

{ALERT Blogger did spot my MISTAKE: SORRY!}

Oops, it happened and for quite a while, I let this BIG MISTAKE go unnoticed. Till my post from yesterday where one of my favorite and ALERT bloggers did spot it! SORRY!!!

On February 14, yes on Valentine's Day, I did post about my AMAZING Chocolate Recipe, see link below post. I'd made photos with the lovely gift we received in December (YES, my MISTAKE went unnoticed for THAT LONG!!!) from our Liz. She is fond of red beets, as I am myself. Not so her Dad; my husband Pieter... She bought me this precious high end linen and silk table runner - with beets on. Both of us were so pleased with this special gift and laughed about the fact that the beets won 2:1 and it never crossed our mind we were MISTAKEN.  Even the sales person who sold it had no clue... Dear blogger Ger from the blog: Hoorn Des Overvloeds did comment about the POMEGRANATE image on the silk runner! She went to the previous post for finding the recipe of the AMAZING Chocolate. 

My husband laughed too; how could we both have overlooked this?! How stupid can one be? Do you have things like this happening to you too, or is it only me... I hope I'm not a stand-alone-case!

Do you laugh at me now?...

I deserve it!

BUT, yes it is the POMEGRANATE - THE ANTIOXIDANT SUPERFRUIT!

Yes, we are growing our own Pomegranate in our garden!

For the time being we have to buy the dark chocolate covered Pomegranate seeds from Costco, to enjoy with our coffee. They seem to be cholesterol lowering, even preventing Alzheimer's and so many more health benefits they possess. 

A heartfelt SORRY for this MISTAKE!
