{ALERT Blogger did spot my MISTAKE: SORRY!}

Oops, it happened and for quite a while, I let this BIG MISTAKE go unnoticed. Till my post from yesterday where one of my favorite and ALERT bloggers did spot it! SORRY!!!
On February 14, yes on Valentine's Day, I did post about my AMAZING Chocolate Recipe, see link below post. I'd made photos with the lovely gift we received in December (YES, my MISTAKE went unnoticed for THAT LONG!!!) from our Liz. She is fond of red beets, as I am myself. Not so her Dad; my husband Pieter... She bought me this precious high end linen and silk table runner - with beets on. Both of us were so pleased with this special gift and laughed about the fact that the beets won 2:1 and it never crossed our mind we were MISTAKEN.  Even the sales person who sold it had no clue... Dear blogger Ger from the blog: Hoorn Des Overvloeds did comment about the POMEGRANATE image on the silk runner! She went to the previous post for finding the recipe of the AMAZING Chocolate.
My husband laughed too; how could we both have overlooked this?! How stupid can one be? Do you have things like this happening to you too, or is it only me... I hope I'm not a stand-alone-case!
Do you laugh at me now?...
I deserve it!
Oh my!
BUT, yes it is the POMEGRANATE - THE ANTIOXIDANT SUPERFRUIT!
Yes, we are growing our own Pomegranate in our garden!
For the time being we have to buy the dark chocolate covered Pomegranate seeds from Costco, to enjoy with our coffee. They seem to be cholesterol lowering, even preventing Alzheimer's and so many more health benefits they possess.
A heartfelt SORRY for this MISTAKE!

  1. I am all for lowering my cholesterol naturally, no statins! And Alzheimer's disease has to be one of the most cruel of all ... bring on the pomegranates.

I can't believe you remembered (or knew) my birthday is tomorrow ... thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wishes!!!

  2. Hi Mariette,
I do not remember this post so I can not comment or even think of laughing at you for this. Life happens and we all see things in our own way. It sure is a gorgeous piece of sewn artwork.
Love that you are growing your own Pomegranates. They look gorgeous in the pic.
Hope you have a wonderful week my friend. Thank you for stopping by and your sweet words. Always great to see you.
    Much Love, Celestina Marie

Easy enough to make a mistake like that, and yes, often do things like that myself.
How wonderful that you are growing your own pomegranate tree, hope it does well and bears a lot of fruit for you.
So kind of you to remember Marcel's birthday too, thank you so much.

    Happy day

  9. Hoi lieve Mariette,

Liefs...Elly.

  11. Hi Mariette these things happen with me quite often. You are not alone :-)
I love the table runner with pomegranate. Though I've never liked the taste of it. I've had pomegranate juice and tried wine, but didn't like... But I may like it if I eat the fruit itself. Like cherry, I don't like cherry flavored drink but love cherry itself.
It's so cool you have pomegranate growing in your garden!

  13. Liebe Mariette,

We all make mistakes, it has happened to me and you helped me to correct it, remember? We understand. I already have the chocolate recipe, thank so much for sharing, since my husband has Diabetes type 2 and he loves chocolate, he will be very happy to know he will be able to eat it, I can't wait to try the recipe. We already tried the tea and we love it. Thank you so much for your tips.

  17. How wonderful to be able to plant and grow your own pomegranate tree!!! The weather here I am certain would not allow it. It is a beautiful piece of linen from your daughter ... I love that the image on it can easily be interpreted as a few different fruits... Human we are.. Blessings to you both..HUgs, C. HHL
