Oh, I have to share this with all of you! On this post: {Chocolate and Silver Alphabet Letters for Saint Nicholas} I received my very first comment from Rebecca, who writes the fabulous blog 'A Gathering Place'. Next day I stumbled upon Rebecca's Vintage Train Case at Mari's A POCKET FULL OF ROSES blog: MY BEAUTIFUL ANNIVERSARY GIFT :) and fell in love... Rebecca did point me to her older blog post: ~ VINTAGE TRAINCASE - Transformed into a Work of Art~. It took her quite a while for finding such a vintage train case again and in June she started with the makeover of it. Due to the hot and humid weather in her area, the paint took a long time to dry. But finally on Thursday it arrived! Now have a look yourself and tell me if you would not fall in love with it too?

Oh Mariette...thank you so much for bragging about my work. My passion is truly in remaking vintage train cases into usable keepsakes for the home. I loved making this one for you and I hope you will love it for the rest of your life. They take a long time to create and I only turn out about 10 or 12 per year at the most.
ReplyDeleteI love all the pretties you've tucked inside. Sweet gloves and vintage laces...yum.

ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI visited your blog today. I saw you on Castles, Crowns, and Cottages. I thought your photos were lovely. The tea cup and saucer is something I liked very much because I have "tea time" everyday, and it is very relaxing after a hectic day. I loved the pink roses also, as I adore anything pink. That letter holder is gorgeous and so unique. Me and my daughters just started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would really enjoy coming back to visit with you and seeing all your beautiful treasures. Hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
