{Our 2012 ANTIOXIDANT SUPERFRUIT Yield}

Regardless of the hot and dry summer in 2011, we did have some 2012 ANTIOXIDANT SUPERFRUIT Yield! Look here...
I took these photos on June 26 but lost them... Only now I found  the file and like to show you.
Did you know about the blueberries Vaccinium corymbosum having ANTIOXIDANT SUPERFRUIT conditions? If you cannot grow your own, by all means: BUY THEM! They are so healthy.
Below this post you find two more links where you find a lot more info. The last link is showing a nice way of serving them in pretty china with antique Christofle silver.
Ours got a wash and were eaten with Trader Joe's Greek style non fat yogurt.

Did any of you harvest their own blueberries?

  3. Oh my goodness, I'll bring cake and you give me 2 lbs. of those gorgeous blueberries from your own garden! I can have them with yogurt and walnuts, or with ice cream, lol! OK, this is what I did with the egg cloche: I held the cloche up side down and filled it up with the various eggs..later I held it up side down, very carefully again and started to take the eggs out of it with a little help from hubby, lol..

  4. Blueberries are little jewels, aren't they? And how pretty they look in your beautiful china with your lovely silver pieces viewed in your link. I try to eat blueberries several times a week in cereal, muffins and plain with vanilla yogurt. Mmmm. I have some bushes that I planted last year. Not too much fruit just yet, but maybe next year. Enjoy your blueberries! xx

  13. Oh gosh! Those blueberries look so plump and yummy. Delicious! We can't get fresh blueberries here. If we do, they bring them from Holland and charge about $10 for a very small container. I always have frozen ones in the freezer to throw into my cereal, oatmeal or muffins. But went the store today and forgot to buy more. Will have to go back very soon. Have a great day. Tammy

    Wonderful harvested well♡♡♡

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

  17. Hoi lieve Mariette,

Wat heerlijk dat jij deze gezonde bessen in eigen tuin kan plukken.
Maar zie ik in jou emmer nou bosbessen(Vaccinium myrtillus)?
    of
    blauwe bessen(Vaccinium corymbosum)?

    Lieve groeten,

Blueberries are both tasty and nutritious!
They grow wild in the forests of Sweden. I like them best with sugar (!) and cold milk.
