{Palo Verde Tree blooming in Scottsdale Arizona}

On March 24, we were at the Costco Wholesale Gas Station Airpark in Scottsdale, Arizona.
We already had admired the masses of yellow blooms alongside the highway and now we saw one nearby. It is the beautiful Palo Verde Tree!
Such bright yellow everywhere you turned...
The Palo Verde seems to be the State Tree!
Arizona in general is such a well maintained State, everywhere you turn.
It makes for feeling happy, to see such trees!
Very friendly people too!
And a happy me!
Filling up the rental car, our Toyota Corolla...

Everything looked just wonderful because of full spring blooms. Even the desert was beautiful.

  2. Hello Mariette, Up north, trees filled with masses of blooms are usually white. It must have been stunning to see this vivid yellow color which so well matches the sunniness of Arizona.

Ja, zeg dat wel; een pláátje was het. Langs de Freeway konden we natuurlijk níet 'even' stoppen maar gelukkig stonden er hier bij het tank station van de groothandel Costco.
      Liefs,

We drove a Toyota Carolla car a number of years ago..... do you know, I had not thought about that car in a long time.
I love the photograph of you standing beside the car.... you are very photogenic.

  20. Very beautiful. The last time I was in Scottsdale was 1991. Used to have a friend there but we lost touch many years ago. I sure do miss well maintained areas. This country needs to clean up its act. Best wishes, Tammy

It is so pretty and indeed so meticulously maintained; far better than rural Georgia where they often litter alongside the roads... WHY do people just behave so different?!
Guess you ought to go back to Scottsdale again and enjoy it!

  21. How beautiful, those Palo verde trees!! They look like our mimosas, ladden with yellow flowers which also keep for some days only! I do have the best memories from my short trip in Arizona, its beauty and colours. I only wish I could visit again!!!

    1. Dearest Marie-Anne,
We remember those mimosa trees from Australia as wattle trees. They are all from the acacia family but this one is different and completely covered with blossoms.
Arizona is such a beautiful state and I'm glad that you at least visited it briefly. Wish you indeed could go back...
      Hugs and blessings,

  22. I came to check out the link you left in your comment and see that I left a comment here when you posted about the gorgeous palo verde trees. They sure do liven up a place when they bloom especially here where it is often so drab and dull. I love their pretty green trunks. And since my previous comment, I've actually gotten back in touch with my friend who still lives in AZ. We've known each other since we were teenagers.
