{HM King Willem Alexander by Elske Wilton, Portrait Artist}

While at the beautiful Naylor Hall for the Dutch King's Birthday Celebration (see link below post) we both had the pleasure of personally meeting Elske Wilton, Portrait Artist who recently created HM King Willem Alexander's portrait.

Feeling honored for having received this card format from Elske, for using on my blog!
She told me that the King really liked this portrait... Who would not?!
Elske is a member of the Portrait Society of America and the Cecilia Beaux Forum
It was such a beautiful addition to this splendid evening, sponsored by so many great companies.

Look at her stunning work!
Elske's drawings follow the technique of the Italian Renaissance artist Raphael (1483 - 1520), and are done with red Sienna colored pencil on cream olive green Canson paper with white charcoal on the highlights.
Such a beautiful display of her perfect portraits...
One can only admire her meticulous work!
Sorry for the glare of lights but it still gives you an impression of how exact her work looks like!
Of course HM King Willem Alexander got displayed on his Birthday Celebration!
This was such a pleasant encounter and I feel humbled for being allowed to share Elske's work with you!

    Leuk om zo'n kunstenares persoonlijk te ontmoeten, ze maakt prachtige portretten, vooral de kinderportretten zijn erg mooi. Ik denk dat WA moeilijk te portretteren is, andere kunstenaars hebben het ook geprobeerd en er is geen een portret wat goed lijkt. Zelfs de officiele portretten waar een aantal kunstenaars voor uitgenodigd waren is het niet gelukt. Hij moet een moeilijk gezicht hebben om de essensie te vangen blijkbaar. Desalnietemin is het goed gemaakt.

      Jazeker, dit was een hele bijzondere ontmoeting met Elske!
      Haar kinderportretten zijn zó sprekend maar ook dat van Willem Alexander.
      Heb je ooit het portret van Koning Willem Alexander, gemaakt door Coen Wieman gezien? Dat vind ik ook bijzonder goed gelukt.

    Elske Willon Potrait Artist recently created HM king Willem Alexander's Potrait.
    King of the netherlands received this card fomat from Elske it was such a beautiful addition to this spendid evening sportsored by so many great companies.
    Such a beautiful of perfect portraits an impression of excict her work looks like !

    Sehr sympathisch, das Bild, liebe Mariette - die Künstlerin hat den richtigen Blick. Eine Verwandte von mir kann das auch. Sie hat schon vor vielen vielen Jahren Prominente gezeichnet und besitzt viele Dankschreiben.Sie besaß diese Gabe von Natur aus, so etwas kann man kaum lernen.
