WOW, quite a milestone for my cute ute Toyota RAV4 that turns 18 today!
Still running very happily for us and we love it.
That's me next to my 'Ravy' on July 4th.
We just had come back from a lunch near the river with friends.
The garden looks very lush as we had a heavy thunderstorm with lots of rain!
Barty comes to sniff out where 'Ravy' has been, in the woods...

ReplyDeleteYes, we too kind of love old cars and it looks perfect! Hubby just sold a Japanese big Trooper that was 18 years old too! Only cause he bought instead DD Alex's Mazda automobile that's only 6 years old, lol! (he went for the younger model hehehe).

ReplyDeleteHad my 2001 RAV4 for over 13 years and 386,000 kms. The transmission gave out and was too costly to repair. So sad!!! We loved our RAV:-))

ReplyDeleteEin stolzes Alter für ein Auto, liebe Mariette. Unsere sind allerdings auch bald 10 Jahre alt. Früher wechselten wir alle paar Jahre, wir kauften allerdings auch immer Gebrauchte. Die letzten sind jedoch neu, daher kann man sie länger haben. Für mein Traumauto Ford Cougar würde ich aber sofort wechseln. :-)

DeleteJa aber hier wegen dem Wetter ist es anders als dort wo es Schnee geben wird. Hier kennt man kein Winter also leidet das Auto nicht davon. Aber dein Traumauto, das würde mir viel zu niedrig sein. Seit meinem Ischias hatten wir nie wieder einen niedrigen Auto, und es hilft enorm. Also wegen dem Rücken wählen wir Komfort und natürlich immer auch für Sicherheit.
Danke, ja es ist hier etwas um am 4 Juli alle Rot/Weiss/Blau zu tragen.

DeleteWell, anything I like I want to hold on to! This car has not that much mileage and is in great condition so why not keep it. It got outfitted this morning with a new Prorack 2 Bike Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Platform Style and we hope to enjoy it for many more years!
