For more than 10 years, our Hibiscus 'Kona' Hibiscus rosa-sinensis hybrid is giving us stunning flowers.
Husband Pieter did bring this Hibiscus 'Kona' blossom inside to place next to my PC

Just on September 4, I happened to view this, and had to catch it as a screenshot.
Such nice round and even figures, I probably will not see again...

ReplyDeletethis is such a WONDERFUL Hibiscus!
Wishing you and Pieter a lovely new week!
Love and hugs, Claudia xo
Dearest Claudia,
DeleteIt sure is a special exotic type that we keep as a pot plant and it goes into the greenhouse in winter.
Hugs,
Mariette
Molto belli questi fiori di ibisco!Buona giornata...
ReplyDeleteCara Olga,
DeleteDavvero, questi fiori dallo ibisco Kona sono bellissimi.
Un abbraccio,
Mariette
So pretty! I don't have much luck keeping flowering plants alive, I needs hardy greenery. đ
ReplyDeleteDearest Kim,
DeleteWell, this one we keep in a big planter and inside the greenhouse during winter.
So far we have managed to keep it alive.
Hugs,
Mariette
Hi Mariette! It is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDearest Anne,
DeleteYes, this is a kind of a tropical beauty.
Hugs,
Mariette
Hello Mariette, It must be nice to have a yard that you can enjoy for strolling, and then pick flowers for indoors like this hibiscus. When I rented houses, I was not willing to invest time beyond the minimum in yard work, as I never knew how long I was going to stay there. You and Pieter have achieved something permanent in your yard and garden.
ReplyDelete--Jim
Dearest Jim,
DeleteWell, we are way past the era that our garden looked magical.
Trees continue to grow and they demand the majority of water available, so all of our roses have perished... None left!
We continued to keep some pot plants with exotics but them must winter inside the greenhouse. Husband Pieter no longer can lift them, so our yard crew takes them out in the spring and puts them back in the fall...
Hugs,
Mariette
Oh dearest Mariette! The shade of these Hibiscus is just magical! It is so beautiful and reminds me of fluffy cotton candy! My cousin bought a hibiscus plant two weeks ago to be placed on their garden to remind her of my late Aunt, her mother, because she loves hibiscuses so much! Thank you for sharing this, Pieter did an amazing arrangement on this one!
ReplyDeleteDearest Stevenson,
DeleteYes, this fully double hybrid hibiscus (origin is from Hawaii) looks like cotton candy.
What a lovely gesture for keeping the memory of your Aunt alive by honoring her with her favorite flower!
Hugs,
Mariette
What a beautiful hibiscus! Looks so delicate in sweet pink color :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of even page view figures!
Have a wonderful week, Mariette xo
Dearest Tamago,
DeleteThank you and yes, these blossoms make us always happy.
Hugs,
Mariette
¡Trabajo hecho!
Abrazos,
Mariette
I may not comment daily, but do read you and your husband's adventures each day. I have seen many hibiscus over the years, but nothing as breathtaking as yours. I always enjoy when you drop by blog.
ReplyDeleteDearest LV.,
DeleteThank you and it is special each time when you drop a few lines.
You're such a role model, in Pieter's age group.
Hugs,
Mariette
What a beautiful flower. I had a hibiscus in the office year ago; but not as wonderful as yours.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteThis is a double one and so frilly like cotton candy.
Hugs,
Mariette
Gorgeous - Just Like The Both Of You
ReplyDeleteCheers
Dearest Travis,
DeleteThank you!
Hugs,
Mariette
I have many hibiscus growing in my garden Mariette but none as beautiful as your Kona. It reminds me of the most wonderfully frilled ballet tutu đş
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
DeleteThis one sure is an exceptional beauty!
Hugs,
Mariette
Gosh, that is beautiful. I hard large pots of Hibiscus around my pool when I lived in a Houston. None of them were that pretty though.
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
DeleteThis is exceptional indeed as it is double and so frilly.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dear Mariette - I love the pretty dusty pink colour of your double Kona Hibiscus. The frilly petals are perfection.
ReplyDeleteDearest Rosemary,
DeleteThis is such an exotic gem to us and it keeps very well in its pot, while staying inside the greenhouse during winter.
Hugs,
Mariette
