On Friday, November 20, Blogger friend Carole posted in Latin: Tempus Fugit ( Time Flies).
It brought me the idea for using this photo that I took in September 1995, while being in Herisau, Switzerland, visiting our mushroom friends.
The Dachshund on wheels seems to enjoy its relaxed speed!
WISH we all could roll through time like that...

DeleteThank you, it is already remarkable in just one day and today I have a checkup with my ophthalmologist. So happy that Pieter managed well to drive me home that hour via Interstate.

DeleteYes, through my eye cap on the way home I noticed that without glasses I could see rather well. Did rest a lot, the partly anesthesia knocks you down but resting is perfect for good healing.

The cute Dachshund sure looks enjoying the relaxed speed :-) I do feel the same way about time! It's flying so fast. I feel we just had Christmas and the next one is already here!

Happy to know your eye surgery went well and you're recuperating. . . . . .by slowing down and taking things easy! No dashing about for a while - hoping you can listen to lovely holiday music while Pieter brings you tasty morsels to nibble and glasses of sparkling liquids to celebrate the successful surgery!

DeleteThank you and yes, we can celebrate this. This morning's post operation checkup was well. Ready for the 2nd eye in January. Will be making us some delicious and healthy dark chocolates with hazelnuts, dried apricots, coconut and such without sugar so even I am allowed to nibble from it. No sweet drinks or alcohol for a diabetic but that's okay!
Looking forward to Christmas and taking it easy getting there.

ReplyDeleteYes, time flies...it feels like it speeds up the older we get and there doesn't seem to be any way to slow down our perception of it, even when you do stop to smell the roses, as it were.

También piendo que a veces el tiempo parece volar...aunque mo siempre es así. cuando estás pasando horas de incertidumbre y momentos de dorlor, parece que se hace eterno aunque sean segundos.

I am really pleased to learn that your eye surgery went well Mariette, the thought of having surgery on my eyes is not one that I care to think about. However, people always say that the whole experience is far easier than any of them had anticipated.

DeleteIt was not the surgery itself that I ever had thoughts about but just the fact that IF something would go wrong, I had no reading ability left. My left eye never could do any reading. But all went well, also the post-op.
