Cornuda Italy Christmas Eve Feeding the Critters

 Sorry, we have no Internet!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Just an overview from our 5th floor apartment in Cornuda, Treviso when we still lived in Italy.

From our balcony, and also from the rooftop to show the back.

We then drove in my Ford Escort to Madonna di Rocca from where the lot that we'd purchased is visible.

And of course we did stop at the old people's home, to feed their critters.

We always did so on our way to work and they knew our car or if we came to work by bike, they recognized us.

We both LOVE pets and this was such a natural thing to do!
Even more so on Christmas Eve.
Those black leather boots I'm wearing (gift from Italian friends) I still have, as well as the wool winter coat that I'd purchased in Pennsylvania just before moving to Italy.
If you view this video on YouTube and on your PC you will find the clickable markings below for reading and clicking on it. At 0:22 Church of Cornuda, Province of Treviso.
At 1:18 zooming in on the Church atop Madonna di Rocca.

Very short but valuable to both of us.

    1. Carissima Lorena,
Grazie e sì, ci siamo sempre fermati a nutrire queste creature perché i loro proprietari erano persone molto vecchie.
      Abbracci,
      Mariette

  4. Hello Mariette, A merry Christmas to you and Pieter! It is cold and damp now in Taiwan, so not very comfortable, but if I get going and start doing things, I should warm up quickly enough.

    1. Dearest Jim,
Thank you for the Merry Christmas and only now on Sunday morning our Internet got restored back after five days out...
Oh, we know exactly how that feels as we've lived at an altitude of 1,400 m in Java, Indonesia and without any heat or even worse, ability to de-humidify the air, it is not pleasant indoors. Those are moments you really miss the comfort of living in the U.S.A.
Hope it has changed meanwhile. We have had some more frost and for the rest bright sunny weather.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

Gracias por los deseos de una Feliz Navidad. Demasiado tarde para responderte, debido a haber estado desconectado de Internet durante 5 días. Acabamos de restaurarlo este domingo por la mañana...

We had no Internet for 5 days. Feels so good for having a technician come to our home on Sunday morning for restoring it.

Thank you and it was a weird Christmas...
Being cut off from the Internet was also devastating for not being able to do any video calls with loved ones abroad.
But it got restored on a Sunday morning by a Spectrum technician!
      Hugs,
      Mariette

    1. Dearest Tamago,
Thank you and yes, we did so very frequently, on our way to work and even making a special trip. Their owner was a very old lady... maybe too frail for doing it all.
Once we saw her pulling the curtain back and nodding and smiling through the window. She approved of us loving her critters!
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  9. Those poor critters looked very hungry! They were lucky to have you feed them!
I wish you and Pieter a very merry Christmas, dearest Mariette!

    1. Dearest Marie-Anne,
Thank you and we both wondered if aside from the old and ailing woman we saw once behind the window, there would be anyone looking after her critters.
Too late for a Merry Christmas your way but just this morning we got our Internet restored back after 5 days being without.
      Hugs,
      Mariette
