From Québec City I drove to Montmorency, not that far away from the outskirts of Québec City, QC
After climbing the 487 steps to the Montmorency waterfall we looked around.
The Saint Lawrence River is seen to the left of me with bridge.
Parc de la Chute–Montmorency
Montmorency Falls Park
We walked and climbed the 487 steps for reaching the high bridge you see above the falls in top image.
Going down by cable cart
What a mighty sight in the dark...
Pieter at first stated that it was no 'that' impressive, while walking down in the flat area.
Then starting to climb the 487 steps, he changed his mind.
Once we reached the top and walking that bridge the perspective changed quite a bit!
Great Place!

Dearest Teresa Isabel,
DeleteYes, one of those fabulous attractions!
Hugs,
Mariette
So lovely to see Montmorency falls. We went there in the middle of Winter, just after Christmas. The Falls were frozen except for a small stream of water, and the whole area covered in snow. It really was a magical sight, although we could not walk around like you did. A big highlight of our visit to Quebec.
ReplyDeleteDearest Patricia,
DeleteOh, it no doubt looked magical with the frozen Falls and all the snow!
We enjoyed our visit and glad we did it then, now my Pieter would not be able to tackle those 487 steps.
Glad you too experienced this beautiful Park!
Hugs,
Mariette
Amazing views. Isn't nature wonderful.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteYes, nature indeed is wonderful and a privilege to be there!
Hugs,
Mariette
Mariette
Beautiful falls. I think I would have ridden up and walked down!
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
DeleteOh, they were mind boggling to view from up close.
You got a good point there but we did NOT know we had to wind up over 487 steps.
Pieter found it not 'tall' when he stood below but that changed when we got on our way...
Waterfalls, Rivers and Bridges can be spectacular!
Hugs,
Mariette
Lovely place!
ReplyDeleteDearest Anne,
DeleteOh, a dream for being there!
Hugs,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday, Mariette!

Dearest Veronica,

Hugs,
Mariette
These are formidable waterfalls. I really like this type of landscape. Something wild.
