{Lush Green Garden}

So far this summer we have had lots of late afternoon rain with often thunder. Needless to say that we do have quite a LUSH, GREEN GARDEN...
It looks almost tropical and the weeds are of course growing fast too...
The gazebo is being dwarfed by such huge trees!
Our Windmill and Canary Island palms look happy too...
The Quercus Virginiana Grand View Gold (r) is now less golden as in the spring.

    1. Dearest Michiko,
This year it is really green because we got rain almost every single day of summer. Mainly late afternoon a thunder storm would pass over with lots of rain.
Not ongoing rain like you mention... that is kind of dreary in the winter.
      Sending you hugs and love,
      Mariette

  4. Oh dear Mariette your garden looks more like a lovely park! I love all that pretty shaved grass, so neat and pretty, you feel like rolling on it! I love your gazebo image amidst the 'park.'
Thanks for the visit honey. Yes, they're nice at the European shop, they bring fabulous things and the furniture is to die for and they know how I love antiques and vintage. They really sell everything from people that come from all over the country, even though the big cities have many more antique shops!

Thank you and yes, it is more like a park, we can walk on our walk ways, through the woodgarden, adjacent to this patch of green grass. It looks at its prettiest I guess, can't recall any summer like this one!
You do have exquisite pieces of furniture and other objects and in such prestine condition too. You will cherish it and later your daughters will.

  9. Lieve Mariette,

  19. Dearest Mariette...Your garden looks perfect. We too, have been having a lush summer. It's so nice not having to worry quite so much about forest fires or wells running dry. Currently Proge is waiting for stuff to dry enough so he can mow!

  20. Dear Mariette,
Your garden looks like a beautiful park! It must be so lovely to stroll through the paths and visit all your lovingly planted gardens and trees. The Gazebo looks like a cool oasis when it is hot, and also a place to get out of a sudden rain shower! So peaceful, but I know it is a lot of hard work and love that goes into it.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend and hope for a bit of sunshine.
    Hugs xo

Such a garden indeed takes a lot of back braking hard work; not for free and never easy but as long as we manage, we enjoy it!
Enjoy your Sunday and sending you some sunshine (we had clouds, it's on and off).
      Hugs,

Well, if rain results indeed in such a lush tropical looking garden, we don't mind the rain. In-between some sunshine is okay even if it means the balcony and the gazebo is often wet when we want to eat supper there...
Sending you hugs, a couple of hours up north!
