Our Rose Suite also got freshly painted by painters Stanley Jessup and Randy Slaughter...
They also did the exterior painting, see link below post.
On Thursday, January 13, I'd finished cleaning the Rose Suite living room and placed a Wedgwood bowl with white Camellias on the coffee table...
This was on November 9, 2021...
A mix of Nuccio's gem and White by the Gate Camellias
Handcrocheted DMC doily with roses was a gift of my best friend Ellie.
They are perfectly arranged in this Wedgwood vase bowl Cream Color on Cream Color.
Other side of the living room with Pieter's electrical organ.
A Thomas Cabinet organ in walnut.

We found this end of 2017, when Pieter's heart condition was critical...
He still loves to play once in a while.
The painters Stanley and Randy had the bed covered... the rest got moved out.
Awaiting guests...

What a lovely house you have and what beautiful decor. You really are skilful and could have been an interior designer. I like your style.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and Pieter.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteThank you and we always tried to have our home reflect its owners.
You probably know by now that I do love Angels and Roses.
The silver rosary even is done in roses...
Hugs,
Mariette
What beautiful roses and an inviting guest room.
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
DeleteThank you!
Don't those Camellia Japonica White by the Gate resemble true roses?
Hugs,
Mariette
Hello Mariette, Your Rose Suite looks fresh and inviting. You were lucky to find those painters who took such good care. When my apartment was painted (a lot of it when I was in the U.S. a few years ago) the painter, who apparently didn't know the meaning of the word "dropcloth" got paint on literally everything, although I did find a few missed spots on the walls. Of course, you and Pieter know the value of being on-site when work is being done.

Dearest Jim,
DeleteThank you and we are so sorry to learn about your fate by being abroad when painters do a job. Indeed, the dropcloth is so essential in keeping the rest untouched.
Oh, while we lived and worked in Indonesia, our home got build and there is a whole list of things that didn't get done the proper way...
Hugs,
Mariette
I love everything about your Rose Suite, such beauty! That bed looks sooooooo comfy! I wish I could come try it out... but mostly to visit you! I would love to see Georgia, too. I have cousins who live there. ... I really want to escape our winter LOL! Another storm is coming in tomorrow evening into Thursday. Brrrr! Hugs and blessings, dear Mariette! 💕
ReplyDeleteDearest Diana,
DeleteThank you and yes it is a special apartment for our guests and ALL done by husband Pieter himself. Before 2004 there were just 60 metric tons of dirt sitting under the house. It got dug out by Pieter and he only had some help for the final stretch as it was getting too hot under the house close to July.
Proud of my worker bee!
Hugs and stay warm and cozy.
Mariette
Hai una casa meravigliosa ,i colori sono ben armonizzati ,siete amanti della musica.Complimenti a te e a Pieter-
ReplyDeleteCara Olga,
Abrazos,
Mariette
Absolutely lovely flowers. What color shade do you have on the walls?
ReplyDeleteDearest Anne,
DeleteThank you.
We have a kind of off–white on the walls but it reflects from the trees outside when the sun peaks through the windows.
Hugs,
Mariette
So beautiful and inviting! Thanks for sharing this renovation with us, Mariette.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Dearest Martha Jane,
DeleteThank you and no renovations done but painting these two rooms once more since 2004 when it all got built by Pieter.
Hugs,
Mariette
It looks lovely, Mariette. The flowers in the bowl are simply gorgeous, perfectly paired. :-)
ReplyDeleteDearest Kim,
DeleteThank you and oh one has to love those white Camellias.
That Wedgwood bowl is the perfect vessel for displaying their stunning beauty.
Hugs,
Mariette
It looks very comfortable.
