{Our 6 Different Hydrangeas}

Already on June 17, we had our 6 different Hydrangea varieties blooming and husband Pieter took photos of them. A bit late, but still I want to share these beauties with you.

First a Mophead Hydrangea in an exceptional purple color that we got from our friends the Bogles.

Second variety is a Hydrangea Macrophylla Ayesha.

These Hydrangea Macrophylla Ayesha appear in soft tones from pale pink to light blue...

These are beauties and the color varies from spot to spot.

Here you see the pale pink ones...

A blue Mophead Hydrangea...

It is difficult to tell which one is my favorite but I sure love this color!

Hydrangea Serrata Pretty Maiden, a Lacecap variety.

And a White Mophead Hydrangea...

Lots of Blue Mophead Hydrangeas.

These ordinary Mophead Hydrangeas are very pretty too.

So which one is your favorite?

{Our Gardenias in the June Rain}

Once more I have to share with you one of my favorite flowers; Our Gardenias. This time in the June Rain. When husband Pieter made these photos around 5:00 PM in the afternoon, they all had TEARS on them...

In fact with those Rain Drops or TEARS, they even look prettier to me.

You also can see a tiny insect hiding inside its heart.

Several of our large variety of  'Aimee Yoshioka'.

Again, an insect is visible inside...

They all tried their very best, regardless the rain!

{HOME SWEET HOME}

Not only for both of us and our felines we got a roof above our head, but also for our many garden birds.

Have a look at this very cute HOME SWEET HOME Bird House that we received as a gift from our German 'Son' and his family. We hung it on our Holly tree so we can see it from the kitchen bay window and from the veranda. It has been a favorite with birds!

Indeed: HOME SWEET HOME

Here you see the gazebo in view, still with the old roof on...

Just to put it into perspective, here you can see the HOME SWEET HOME Bird House against the stem of the holly tree. Nice at eye level for us to watch the Carolina wrens fly in and out while we enjoy breakfast or have our tea in the veranda.

Also the hummingbird feeder (one of several) is next to the bay window and in view.
