ESCADA Ivory LEATHER Lace Tiered Skirt

Just want to share this very unique skirt that I've scored.
YES, lace that is beautifully cut out in leather...
Pieter took this photo of me on Sunday, November 6.
Side view of skirt and also showing my TWENTY Montréal made in Canada cropped sweater in cotton–modal (a variant to viscose a.k.a. rayon).
Do you see the invisible set in zipper?
Detail of the LEATHER Lace Tiers...
As I lift up one LEATHER Lace Tier, you can see how they are individually sewn onto the fabric below.
With my size 4 (European 34) I often can snatch up real bargains!
Yes, this skirt is a full THREE layers as it is also completely lined with the Escada logo lining.
Lamb napa—buttery soft.
Lamb napa size 4 or European size 34 and original boutique price was US $ 2,800 then got priced down to $ 1,679.99 and my price was $ 274.99.
For the more than 10 years since I purchased this—it is a great score.

  4. Wow, that skirt is AMAZING, Mariette and you did score! You bought it for a fraction of the prize.
The set in zipper shows another sign of quality and the color is so elegant... But ivory/cream/beige are my favorite colors, so I'm suspicious!
    Congratulations on another amazing buy!

    1. Dearest Paula,
Thank you and yes, seeing all the features of top quality garments being done in such a skirt, like the invisible zipper and well lined makes it a total score.
So I'm feeling fortunate now for wearing this size and snatching up pieces like this.
Wish we could share my wardrobe...🤗
      Hugs,
      Mariette

    2. Guess from whom did I learn that invisible zippers are a sign of quality? Her name starts with an M and ends with an E. ;)
I wish we could share it, too, but I would have to lose some kg, first (I'm working on it)!
Lots of hugs to you and Pieter!

Well, this is only the top line of couture clothes being so well made and having studied fashion—I sure know how and where to look for it.

  6. It's a truly beautiful skirt Mariette - the exquisite leather 'lace' is so unusual and obviously the item is so well made. I so miss my older pieces from Escada and should have kept them. There was an outlet here in Raleigh years ago when I was still working and I bought some lovely things there, all discounted!
You look awesome in the skirt, and the lettuce edged sweater is lovely too.

    1. Dearest Mary,
Thank you and yes—this is a keeper for sure!
You were lucky back then for having an outlet nearby—we had to drive to Hilton Head in S.C. for the nearest, or to Chattanooga, TN.
The lettuce trim detailing on the cropped sweater is really nice and that is still available at Bergdorf Goodman under TWENTY MONTREAL.
      Hugs,
      Mariette
