  14. That's wonderful that you get so much traffic! I tend to stick to the same bloggers and don't get all that many responses. I'm winding down rather than up.

I'm thrilled to know you have some wee ones around the house. How nice that they are all furblings! You must feel like you're they're Mom since you oversaw their entrance into this world. Yes they are tiny. My Dani weighs 24 lbs. In the picture with her Dad she wasn't fully grown yet.

Well, this figure was quite a surprise to me! Probably due to my writing about Pieter's Memoirs, it attracts lots of visitors, worldwide.
Our kitties are very tiny indeed, svelte looking as their Mamita was, with long arms and legs.
Dani is a sweet girl with lots of character and expression!

Thank you and all the answers you can find right here on this page by scrolling down to Blog Archive and also Labels. Travel is the highest number, followed by Friendship, P.J.C. Vedder's Memoirs and Publications. I've always used original content as we both despise plagiarism! Also I despise histrionic gestures.
Under Mega Task you find the many projects my husband Pieter did single–handedly and I was proud of.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  17. Totally blown away by this statistic!!!! Well done. A testimony to the content and how well you always present it. I have been thinking about you, wondering how you are faring ... if you have been eating and sleeping well ... if you are active. I hope the answers to my wonderings are of the positive variety.

    1. Dearest Helen,
Thank you and I myself was quite surprised.
It certainly is a testimony to my original content instead of plagiarism. People see through that and also in Pieter's philosophy of helping others. Not always everything for money but to genuinely helping others with their struggle for life.
Yes, I'm eating well, having a good appetite but it is very hard to bear the almost constant pain in my stent–graft area. This is now more than one year post surgery for repairing the tear in aorta. Pieter did most things for me but he has worn himself out—literally in doing so.
Now I have no choice but doing it solo. With lots of help of course but still, it is too much for my body.
Sleeping has been a problem due to the pain but I've been using some painkillers as I needed my rest. Today I enjoyed a good two–hour nap!
But I certainly feel carried by love from all over the world. So many comments and messages from all over the world and gratitude towards my Pieter! I also feel so grateful for having known him 55 years and having found true love.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  18. Well, Mariette! I live in a suburb of Ottawa. The Chateau Laurier is iconic, and I even had dinner there with my husband many years ago. The province of Quebec is just across the Ottawa River, and it's only a short bridge crossing to get there. I studied French in grammar and high school, and then the federal government paid for more lessons when I worked for them in Transport Canada. I was fairly fluent after that, and used it at work, but now it's rusty because I have no cause to use it. Where did you learn your French? And what other languages do you speak? And Dani is indeed a Quebecoise (sorry about the lack of accents) having been born in the Cattery Lacocoon in Lacolle, QC.

    1. Dearest Wendy,
You asked where I learned my French... at Highschool in The Netherlands where I studied English, German and French.
For our work as consultants I've used my French in September of 1996 when working for Dr. Murray O'Neil in Canada. He flew with his private plane to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, south of Montréal, Québec. Did need some good coffee for managing my French but did manage well.
On the way out I had to be Dr. Murray O'Neil's co–pilot and that was all in French!
That was about half an hour north of where Dani was born.
When working here in the U.S.A. I had to learn Spanish for being able to do my training and later when living and working in the Venice area, I also had to learn Italian. Oh, and Bahasa Indonesia for dong my training in Indonesia while living/working there for some three years and many more years for consulting.
      Fond memories!
      Hugs,
      Mariette
