Of course I got way behind in so many things but like to show you our blooming indoor plants on bay window sill.
Tiggy Tiger girl posing next to our Stephanotis Floribunda or Madagascar Jasmine.
And yes, those are the golden yellow pansies that Pieter planted in late November...
We purchased this at Trader Joe's last year so it bloomed a 2nd year and how many fragrant blossoms...Believe me, having breakfast, lunch and supper with such a view is heavenly!
A very rewarding plant!
Pieter bought me this white orchid... his last ever indoor plant brought home for me!
Our now 9 year old Amaryllis blooming
The morning light is glorious...
This Amaryllis now has been planted outside, adjacent to our bay window so next year I can see it blooming there.
Showing you how HUGE this orchid blossom is next to my thumb!
Stephanotis Floribunda two days later and more opened up now
Wish I could transmit their fragrance!
Final blossoms Pieter got to enjoy...

Your blooming and fragrant plants are absolutely stunning! It's always nice to see Tiggy Tiger. He looks very comfortable sitting in the window next to your beautiful plant. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteDearest Debby,
DeleteTiggy Tiger girl loves to sit on the windowsill and observing birds! She rarely goes outside as she has aged. All three siblings are 17 years + 2.5 months now.
Always a joy to have fragrant blooming indoor plants!
Hugs,
Mariette
Amazing flowers Mariette. You definitely have a green thumb. And do I still see Pieter's yellow pansies blooming out the window? I am so glad you are showing us these. I just love flowers and Tiggy is doing a great job showing off them.
ReplyDeleteDearest Lynn and Precious,
DeleteThank you and both of us were/are son and daughter of a market gardener so that explains our green thumb ability.
Yes, in April, Pieter's yellow pansies were still smiling and he watered them. Now some neighbor kids take care of our patio potting plants and window boxes and the heat has killed those sweet faced pansies...
That is Tiggy's favorite spot on the window sill where she loves to watch the birds.
Hugs,
Mariette
Those are gorgeous flowers and a lovely kitty. I can only imagine the nicknames (in more than one language!) you have for her. Hugs and blessings, my dear.
ReplyDeleteDearest Darla,
DeleteThank you and Tiggy Tiger is such a love bug! She is very sweet and always near me. Her sister likes to lounge outside but Tiggy Tiger seldom goes out.
Hugs,
Mariette

DeleteThe plants are glorious, Mariette. I do NOT have green thumb when it comes to flowering indoor plants! You also have fantastic natural light, which is perfect for your blooms. đș
ReplyDeleteDearest Kim,
DeleteThank you and this east side window sill is perfect and the Anderson windows also keep the heat out so that is less of a danger for any plants.
Hugs,
Mariette
Such lovely flowers, I like the pink on most followed by the reddish on verry nice
ReplyDeleteDearest Jo-Anne,
DeleteThank you and we all have different favorite colors.
As for me I do prefer white flowers... But sure love the colored orchids and the Amaryllis!
Hugs,
Mariette
Your plants are so very pretty and of course Tiggy Tiger is too!
ReplyDeleteDearest Terry,
DeleteThank you and sure, Tiggy Tiger is a feisty little girl!
Hugs,
Mariette
Beautiful! That orchid is extra special.
ReplyDeleteDearest Melissa,
DeleteThat orchid is a happy blossom—almost oversized.
Hugs,
Mariette
Breathtaking images .. I can almost smell the fragrance in Bend Oregon! Thank you so much for updating me regarding how you are doing now. I am so sorry for the pain, wondering if it is fixable surgically? Please take care, sleeping meds are perfect now. You need restful slumber.
ReplyDeleteDearest Helen,
DeleteThank you and glad you could imagine their fragrance.
My cardiac thoracic surgeon has not hinted of any surgery and it would be very risky IF.
Hugs,
Mariette
Such beautiful blooms. I have never had luck with orchids. Tiggy is a cutie. XO
ReplyDeleteDearest Ellen,
DeleteOrchids are one of the easiest house plants and one should never cut the stalk off from which they bloom as they will bloom again there!
Tiggy is such a love bug as is her sister and brother. They are all born here and I assisted...
Hugs,
Mariette
Hello Mariette, What an enchanting view, the indoor flowers leading one's sight into the outdoors, with beautiful pots, window frame, and occasional cat along the way. You really have the knack for picking the right flowers and taking care of them.
ReplyDelete--Jim
Dearest Jim,
DeleteYes, this has been our most favorite spot with bay window on the east side. Perfect for having breakfast in the sun and enjoying the birds.
Both of us have always loved flowers and plants and guess even our kitties love them...
Hugs,
Mariette
I love the fragrance of jasmines. Sometimes I have cups of jasmine tea.
ReplyDeleteDearest RTC,
DeleteYes, the fragrance of jasmines is very special and I've always enjoyed a cup of jasmine tea!
Hugs,
Mariette
Gorgeous blooms; so unique!
ReplyDeleteDearest Eastside Cats,
DeleteYes, they are heavenly and back home in The Netherlands these flowers often were used for a bridal hairdo.

ReplyDeleteI've never seen an indoor Jasmine...I'm very thankd Pieter planted such beautiful flowers for you to enjoy as you gaze out into your garden
Hugs Cecilia
Dearest Cecilia,
DeleteYes, Pieter always brightened my view—in many ways!
The pansies have given up now in the hot weather but from the end of November they lasted quite long.
Hugs,
Mariette
Mariette, the flowers are amazing and gorgeous. thank you for
ReplyDeletesharing them with all of us. It’s always a treat to see others
gardens etc, and to be able to see different plants, trees and
shrubs. while I have a “ green thumb” , amaryllis is the one
plant I could never get to bloom. the leaves would grow a mile
long, but, never any đž flowers ‼️‼️ đđ

Dearest Laura,
DeleteThank you for your words and too bad that the amaryllis did not want to bloom for you.
Tiggy Tiger appreciates the waves from her friends!

Mariette
Abrazos,
Mariette
I wish you could send us the fragrance, too, Mariette. The flowers are all so healthy and lovely.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Dearest Martha Jane,
DeleteYes, wish that would be possible to make scents viral...
It is a joy to look at that is for sure!
Hugs,
Mariette
The flowers are all very beautiful. The stephanotis are lovely. I had them in my bridal bouquet nearly 53 years ago.
ReplyDeleteDearest Jackie,
DeleteThank you and you see, in the old world it was a very common bridal flower, either woven into a hairdo or in a bouquet.
You go back a long time and it is this month that I met my Pieter 55 years ago... Life is too short!
Hugs,
Mariette
Mariette, your indoor plants are pretty and coming along nicely. I especially love the jasmine. Jasmine is mine and Nel's favorite flower scent. I used to have a huge bush in the back yard of my old house. The amaryllis is very unique and pretty. And what a sweet picture of your cat by the jasmine. I noticed your bigger font - I can read your post better, thank you!
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Dearest Sheri,
DeleteThank you and my entire life I've had plants on the window sills—so typical Dutch also.
The Stephanotis Floribunda is one of the prettiest one can imagine and so heavenly frangrant.
There are many varieties of jasmines and also scent wise some are mildly frangrant and others strongly. The Arabian jasmine is a winner.
Tiggy Tiger is a sweet girl and loves to be near me.
Hugs,
Mariette
Your blooming plants are a delight!
ReplyDeleteThe Stephanotis Floribunda must make the room smell heavenly.
Tiggy Tiger posing next to it is adorable.
Your green thumb is inspiring, especially with such variety.
The white orchid from Pieter is stunning and special.
Thanks for sharing your lovely blooms with us.
Hugs and blessings, dearest Mariette
Dearest Veronica,
DeleteThank you and yes, in the quiet of evening its perfume permeated the air...
Tiggy Tiger loves that spot, she observes the garden critters and the birds.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dag Mariette,
ReplyDeleteWat een lieverd Tiggy Tiger.
En wat een prachtige bloemen!
Lieve groetjes uit Nederland,
Hilly
Beste Hilly,
DeleteJa, zij is een schat van een kat!
De bloemen zijn allemaal doodgelukkig op de oostkant van ons huis.
Liefs,
Mariette
The flowers are beautiful. How nice to have a little bit of Pieter in the plants he cared for.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Dearest Cristina,
DeleteThank you and yes, my Pieter's presence is oh so palpable in and around the house!

ReplyDeleteLots of love from Titti
Dearest Titti,
DeleteYes that is true for both! Feeling oh so grateful.
Hugs,
Mariette
What a lovely post today, but of course my favourite is the one with Tiggy Tiger. Kitties and flowers make a natural combination. You have made yourself an uplifting environment. Thank you for your continuing and well-thought out comments on our blog.
ReplyDeleteDearest Wendy,
DeleteThank you and yes, kitties and flowers are the best!
Your well–written and thoughtful writings deserve nothing else.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dear Mariette,
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are super lovely and yes, I agree it be wonderful to be able to smell them through the screen :-). I will have to look for a Stephanotis Floribunda plant now. And, Orchids are my favorite and I so enjoy seeing them as they bloom.
Dearest Brenda,
DeleteThank you and oh yes, transmitting their fragrance would be heavenly!
Hugs,
Mariette
It's like you have your own private arboretum there, Mariette! We love all your beautiful flowers (and Tiny Tigger, too).
ReplyDeleteDearest Kevin,
DeleteThank you and both of us have always surrounded us with flowers and plants so I continue with that tradition and the kitties enjoy them as well. We used to have one male kitty who ATE those orchid flowers! He chewed them off, especially while we were on the phone with relatives overseas... Demanding attention!
Hugs,
Mariette
I use the pop-up comments on my posts, as they are so much easier to work with. Many of my blog friends have switched to that. But as I'm looking at the font on your comments, it's about the same size as the font on my comments. I know Nel mentioned that when you read blogs from an ipad, it's much different than viewing it on a computer. I'm not sure what you use when working on a post.
ReplyDeleteHave a sweet day, Mariette.
Dearest Sheri,
DeleteWell, for over one year now I've mainly used my MacBook, on my lap versus my big iMac in the office... That is all post–accident related!
Comments do appear smaller and as I type in here, it looks okay but after posting the words SHRINK! No idea what Google/Blogger is doing...
Hugs,
Mariette
Beautiful flowers and beautiful memories, that's what brings joy to our hearts... let yourself be seduced, dear Mariette. Life is beautiful... just like your sweet Tiggy.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you.
Dearest Viola,
DeleteYou are so very right and we constantly have to surround us with beauty, either flowers, or a walk or ride in nature or something we really fell in love with to wear... Even a favorite dish and a nice set table! Tiggy Tiger is such a love bug.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks for coming by today. Your Tiggy has beautiful, soul-baring eyes as well. It would be nice to see your other kittues some time, too.
ReplyDeleteDearest Wendy,
DeleteYes, they can look deep inside you... If you scroll down to my labels, under Our Felines you can see the other kitties as well!
Hugs,
Mariette
How absolutely lovely, my friend. Thank you for you kind words on my water damage post. I really appreciate your support!
ReplyDeleteDearest Billie Jo,
DeleteThank you and it is heavenly—at least when the sun is shining for added light and magic.
Oh, we both have lived through it all and know. You will manage and soon this will be forgotten.
Hugs,
Mariette
Che fiori meravigliosi!Buona settimana.

ReplyDeleteDearest Marlene and Kitties,
DeleteTiggy Tiger is such a love bug and she certainly is Mami's girl.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed the blog, and certainly all of the photographs. I would love it had you been able to transmit the fragrance. I have never smelt a jasmine flower.
Miss Tiggy Tiger looks dainty, soft and lovely. How sweet that she has taken up her post as your companion above the others.
Hugs always,
Carole and Katie
Dearest Katie Isabella,
DeleteThank you and believe it or not—there is a huge new cluster opening at the bottom right where Tiggy–Tiger sits!
They are always welcome.
Yes, she definitely is a love bug and right now she is besides me on the love seat. She came into the bathroom, talking while I was in the shower and she sleeps either beside me or on the bottom pillow of two pillows that sticks out as it is a European square and bigger.
They are a lot of comfort!
Hugs to you both,
Mariette
