{Mom Lived 11 Days Short of her 66th Wedding Anniversary}

When Mom went to Heaven on January 27th, she was ONLY 11 days short of her 66th Wedding Anniversary on February 7!

This is my Mom, wearing her favorite brocade suit from J.C. Penny Outlet, which she bought with me when visiting us in Georgia.

She also did wear the Majolica pearls, that we gifted her for Saint Nicholas, Dec. 6 1983—she always kept them close to her heart!
I have several pictures of Mom where she is looking very happy!
That's how all our dear friends remember her...

This was on our 42nd trip to The Netherlands... out of 64 total.
We went with Mom to a 40th wedding anniversary Mass where she sang with her choir.

Congratulations anyway dear Mom; you have accomplished so much!

Here on this earth you do have a very proud eldest (alive) daughter.

Thanks for being my Mom for 64 years minus 10 days...

I know for sure that I had the best and the sweetest Mom!

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh State and again you can see the Himalayan mountains in the back.

As you can see here, we are moving farther north with each chapter...
Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh State in the north of India, I've used the yellow marker...

Incredible how they managed to build those houses against the steep mountain slopes.

Shimla is at an altitude of 7,238 ft or 2,206 m and surrounded by pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron forests.

Beautiful views of this northwestern part of the Himalayan mountain range...

Spring is about to be at its best in the end of March...

{Crocheted Table Topper}

Crocheted Table Topper for layering with linen table cloth...

Yes, that is one more item I did hand crochet. My Mom had used to have a stash of Dutch, Durable cotton and I did purchase quite some skeins from her.

You see it right; there is a PEACH in that fruit bowl with some Bosc pears... even in mid-winter!

A nice table setting for three.

Crocheted from an Aarlan magazine, with obviously nicer thread that had a pretty sheen...

Funny that I could almost copy-cat everything in the above photo...
