Here I would love to share with you our travels and adventures as international mushroom consultants. MEMOIRS about husband Pieter Vedder, who was a SCIENTIFIC PIONEER in Commercial Mushroom Cultivation Education. His practical handbook is in 9 languages and is called the MUSHROOM BIBLE: https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/2020/08/modern-mushroom-growing-2020-harvesting.html
Dearest Martha Jane, It mostly has been painstaking but we got it done. A Rotator tiller cannot be used everywhere and with big roots in the ground it is tough. Also for selective weeding, you have to use your hands or you sacrifice your 'plants' with the weeds! Hugs, Mariette
Hello Mariette, So many of your gardening and flower videos have made me regret never having my own garden, but not this weeding video! I loved that in the midst of all this mud and hard work, Pieter took time to appreciate the fruit blossoms, never forgetting the loveliness inherent in all gardening and nature work. --Jim
Dearest Jim, Oh, any garden comes with such amount of love and dedication. Yes, both of us were literally immersed into nature and to see it day-by-day is so rewarding! Hugs, Mariette
Quérida Antónia, Así que muy cierto y, sin embargo, algunas personas nos preguntaron qué tipo de jardín es de bajo mantenimiento. ¡Olvídalo, no hay belleza obtenida sin un trabajo duro y persistente! Abrazos, Mariette
That's what I've been doing in our garden all last week. Very tiring work.
ReplyDeleteThanx Mariette. God bless.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteIt is never easy for having to bend all the way down... It challenges our flexibility!
Hugs,
Mariette
I hate weeding, even in my tiny 16x18 space, which is why it looks such a mess. LOL. I don't think I'd want to tackle what you've both had to! :-P
ReplyDeleteDearest Kim,
DeleteIt is an ongoing battle, but at times oh so rewarding!
Love being next to the critters that are almost 'tame'.
Hugs,
Mariette
That is painstaking work for sure, Mariette. I'm guessing you all couldn't use a rotter tiller?
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Una batalla constante contra la maleza y eso se consigue a base de mucho tesón.

Weeds and gardens go hand in hand
ReplyDeleteDearest Jo-Anne,
DeleteYes, there are no gardens without weeds; vegetable or botanical.
Hugs,
Mariette
It's not easy to maintain a beautiful and well-kept garden.
