Found this excellent short video that Pieter took in 1985 from the Campbell Mushroom Plant that he designed.
This photo is from March 1984, with the hand crocheted window decoration with mushrooms hanging.
But no landscaping being done yet!
Husband Pieter at his desk and you can better see those mushrooms—first quality and broad stems as per mushroom quality criteria!
Sure my Mauzie girl approved ot those mushrooms!
She watched me crochet them... as well as knit the hand embroidered cardigan I wear.
This aerial view of CAMSCO's Dublin, Georgia, farm shows the standardized growing rooms, the tunnel complex and the covered wharf in the background.
As published in MUSHROOM NEWS JANUARY 5, 1985
The growing room doors at Dublin are moveable to accommodate filling with the head–end filling machine.
The working corridor is shown as construction neared completion at Dublin.

Dearest Suzi,
DeleteThank you very much!
Hugs,
Mariette
Amazing how much work, and technology, goes into growing mushrooms. You should be very proud of yours and Pieter's work.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteVery true and it is quite a science and also very high tech.
My part was only harvesting and post harvesting... And designing broad stemmed first quality mushrooms to crochet 😏
Hugs,
Mariette
Olá, Mariette, que fantástico, não imaginava um
ReplyDeleteprojeto tão grandioso!!!
Gostei, muito da foto com o cachorrinho!
Meu abraço a você e Pieter!

Tut so richtig gut.
Viele Grüsse zu Euch. Ich wünsche Euch Fröhlichkeit.
Liebe Viola,
Abrazos,
Mariette
The shining star of this post is you in the header!!! I always reading about Pieter's accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteDearest Helen,
DeleteThank you and it is great that Pieter still can look back onto those highlights!
Hugs,
Mariette
It is very good to be able to remember a working life full of successes. How beautiful was your pet.

Dearest Christina,
DeleteYes, it sure is great for looking back while in retirement.
Mauzie my Dachshund was the daughter of the Dutch Champion—purebred.
