Yes, we are a HOUSEHOLD OF SENIORS...
Five senior kitties and Bandido, Spooky, Spunky and Tiggy-Tiger will be all 16 on March 30.
They are all born here at our home and I was assisting their Mamita when she gave birth.
We rescued Mamita 'Spicy' and brought her home on the plane, from Acapulco, Mexico.
Poor Sacha girl only reached 6 years as she got hit by a car... see post below.
Spunky girl this morning on the windowsill at breakfast time.
YES, she does use 'eyeliner'...
Spunky is a Mackerel Tabby Tiger.
Spooky boy on November 13, 2022, with the elastic that I'd cut off from fitted sheet for using fabric to add to duvet cover making it wide enough for our newest Caribbean down duvet.
They love to play with anything!
Tiggy–Tiger girl on her favorite blanket...
She is a very feisty Mackerel Tabby Tiger girl!
Bandido (Dido) boy on the cotton mat in front of balcony's sliding door 'indoor shutters' of our bedroom.
He is the most svelte and silky kitty—resembling most his Mamita Spicy.
Dido is also the most vocal of all!
Sixteen is quite an age for any kitty and we both are grateful they all four reached that!

Happy Birthday to the kitties! Miss Buster was 20 years old and Samantha Josephine was 22 when they passed - Cats live much longer than dogs. I read about your Sacha and that was a touching tribute. Give them a kiss ( if they let you) from me! Will you treat them with something?

Hello Mariette and Pieter, Happy Birthday to your four remarkable pets. They still look to be a pretty lively crew. In that photo of Spunky I can definitely see a resemblance to an owl--which I suppose make sense, because in Chinese, owl is "maotou ying", which means "cat-headed eagle".

Oh! Your babies are beautiful! I especially feel drawn to your Spooky boy. Beautiful! I don't remember him, but my mother tells me w had a cat when I was a baby that also was all black. In my babybook, she writes that my very first word was his name~Pepper!

DeleteWell, we NEVER knew when we did bring their Mamita home on the plane with us from Acapulco, that she was pregnant... Sadly Mamita Spicy got kidnapped—that broke my heart!
But we luckily have her babies, except Sacha who only lived some 6 years.
Precious is special and beautiful and your are right for not doing that to her at this time.
I'm hoping that I will outlive our kitties—doing the utmost!

It's always so interesting to see what color kitties that a mama cat is gonna have -- and you got two of each. Happy birthday to them all. I hope they continue to be happy, healthy kitties. Jingles was 16 when we lost her and had never been sick a day in her life so really thought we would have her much longer. But 16 years is a very long time for a kitty and anything beyond that is truly a blessing.

DeleteYes, we always have to keep in mind the possibility of superfecundation—2 or more fathers... Sacha was also a Mackerel Tabby Girl but a Tuxedo.
Our Barty was 16 years and 7 months so that to us was quite an age!
Dido is not very healthy and we expect him to be the next we will lose but then—as with your Jingles, it can be rather sudden.
