It was exactly on April 12, 2023 that Pieter's account with WORLD OF HYATT got closed.
Already during the time Pieter worked for Campbell Soup, he frequently stayed at their Hyatt Regency at Cherry Hill, New Jersey—close to the Campbell Soup Headquarters.
That now is a Hilton.
Even our canine Mauzie spent the night there with us on October 23, 1983 as Pieter had to make a presentation for the President of Campbell Soup—while we were in San Francisco he had to write this...
See: From Santa Cruz to San Francisco for the Weekend ←click link.
So that means Pieter was in his 40th year of membership.
But now I got my own WORLD OF HYATT
~
In March of 2008, Pieter received a very unique email message
That was for stays between January 1995 and March 2008...

Fun games for points...
Addictive those games for points!
We ALWAYS enjoyed all of our Hyatt stays!
We did start using Pieter's remaining points by the end of 2022 for free nights: Our Stay at Hyatt Place Downtown Knoxville and Meeting Blogger Friend ←click link. Also on 2nd Christmas Day when we used more points for free nights: Our Stay at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida ←click link.
Pieter also did earn a $ 100 Hyatt Gift Card* which we used towards the end for paying for our meals in Orlando...
Followed by this free stay: Our Stay at Hyatt Regency Sarasota Florida ←click link.
For our Trip to the WEST last year July, we also stayed mainly at Hyatt hotels.
Now I am looking forward to using my personal WORLD OF HYATT card for the first stay at a Hyatt hotel — hoping that will be soon enough in the coming months.
buon sabato|
ReplyDeleteCara Olga,
DeleteBuon sabato per voi e sopratutto buona fortuna con il tuo prossimo intervento chirurgico!
Abbracci,
Mariette
A 40-year association with the same hotel chain speaks volumes for the quality of service across the board. I hope you continue to enjoy your stays with them, with your own card!
ReplyDeleteDearest Kim,
DeleteYes, it absolutely does speak volumes. In the early years, their perks were even a lot more generous. We had with our Gold Pass, access to their special lounge for coffee/tea with cookies and such and also breakfast and in the evening hors d'oeuvres. We got a special room card to use in their elevator for being able to go to that floor. Our Foster Daughter and her then fiancée were greatly impressed.
In Indonesia we always had a welcome basket with flowers and fruits awaiting us at our room with a personal card—welcome back Mr. Pieter Vedder.
Many fond memories and for the last stay in Orlando we used their $ 100 Gift Card for paying our meals in Orlando towards the end (have now added that—as I forgot yesterday...😉).
Hugs,
Mariette
Se ve que os gusta viajar. También a mí me gusta y estoy dispuesta a viajar, de vez en cuando.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Querida Antónia,
DeleteParte fue para el ocio y parte para nuestro trabajo de consultoría.
Abrazos,
Mariette
That is quite the history of customer loyalty, Mariette. When anyone asks if you've seen the world, you could honestly answer, "Yes!"
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Dearest Martha Jane,
DeleteLoyalty from both ends as Hyatt always rewarded its customers with great courtesy and rewards!
At least we have seen part of this vast world...
Hugs,
Mariette
Damn you are loyal
ReplyDeleteDearest Jo–Anne,
DeleteYes—that is TRUE and so are YOU!
As for Hyatt, it has paid off very well and excellent and quiet hotels (talking about sleeping comfort...).
Hugs,
Mariette
That's a lovely, moving story about a world wide hotel chain (Hayatt) and customer (you, your husband and daughter) loyalty, awards, optimal service!
ReplyDeleteDearest Duta,
DeleteYes, we have never been disappointed in the worldwide Hyatt chain! IF some problem, it often is related to one 'grumpy' person as we encountered at the Hyatt Place Oklahoma City/Bricktown last July. A woman had barricaded the breakfast area and we had to leave with ONLY a bottle of water for breakfast! That was RUDE and NO RESPECT for the elderly. She was an awful representative for Hyatt.
Hugs,
Mariette
Olá, Mariette, gostei muito dessa sua postagem, na qual
ReplyDeletevocê mostra mais um passeio seu pelos Estados Unidos,
no qual o Peter estava a trabalho.
Votos de uma boa semana para o distinto casal.
Um abraço para os dois.
Prezado Pedro,
DeleteIsso foi em parte por causa do nosso trabalho como consultores – nós dois trabalhamos em equipe! 😉
Abraços,
Mariette
To tell the truth, I've never been to America. So, I wish I could have a chance to visit and stay the high-quality hotel like that. And thinking my age, before getting too old, Haha. I really appreciate your comment about the name of the flower. I checked the two flowers' differences. The petals have differences. I truly feel thankful for your kind comments for me, Lots of Love; Miyako,
ReplyDeleteDearest Miyako,
DeleteOh, you are still young enough to realize such a trip!
For both of us air travel is out of question due to our health issues...
But we certainly cherish the fond memories!
Oh, you made my heart leap as I so LOVE forget–me–nots but they are very tiny flowers.
The ones you show are more breathtaking in that they create a massive blue sight.
Spectacular photos—as always by you.
Well, I try to be loyal and you're quite deserving of such comments.
Hugs,
Mariette
I believe it is an excellent hotel.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Dearest Christina,
DeleteYes, a very well managed chain!
Hugs,
Mariette
