Spring is such a lovely season with flowers blooming.
Don't you love having such a vase indoors with fragrant daffodils?
From our German 'son and daughter-in-law' we did receive some lovely Easter bunnies and hearts...
Erika always is giving her heart to us in a most caring way.
We were lucky that both of them with their two children did visit us in our Vacation Home Vakantiewoning Pardoes, while we stayed in The Netherlands for Mom's 90th Birthday and Mom & Dad's 65th Wedding Anniversary.
Yes, they drove up to us, all the way from the beautiful Eifel in Germany and gifted Mom & Dad with a beautiful handled willow basket, filled with edible goodies from their region.
Yes, they drove up to us, all the way from the beautiful Eifel in Germany and gifted Mom & Dad with a beautiful handled willow basket, filled with edible goodies from their region.
Now I have turned a different fragrant white daffodil facing the camera...
Don't you like these double ones better than the single one in the first photo?
Those are the cutest little bunnies with the lace scarf buttoned around their neck.
Daffodils are inside a French Baccarat Crystal vase.
Very glossy Mr. & Mrs Bunny...
So glad they traveled well inside our suitcases.
Don't you love them too?
that is very cute.
ReplyDeleteDearest Theresa,
DeleteFrom Erika we always got the cutest gifts!
Hugs,
Mariette

Mariette
A very sweet gift, Mariette, and very thoughtful, too. I love your double daffodils, too. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteDearest Karen,
DeleteIndeed a very sweet gift and our German son and daughter-in-law are always very thoughtful.
Those daffodils were such a welcome sign of spring trying hard to come through. We will have another spell of frost tomorrow night... But such lovely fragrant flowers bring joy indoors!
Hugs,
Mariette
HI Theresa that is very cute¡,,
ReplyDeleteDearest Angélica,
DeleteThank you and yes they are very cute!
Hugs,
Mariette
Daffodils are indeed such lovely happy flowers - but sadly I am allergic to them. So I have to admire them from afar.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday Mariette!
xo Catherine
Dearest Catherine,
DeleteOh my, that is indeed sadly... their fragrance is heavenly! Can you not use perfume or eau de toilette either? But for sure you love seeing them as a promise of spring coming.
Hugs,
Mariette
I love your little bunnies. You have a very kind son and daughter in law.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Dearest Kay,

The design really matches with your arrangement☆☆☆
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Dearest Miyako,
DeleteSuch are the pleasures of life... and the fragrant daffodils really make it most heavenly all together.
Fleur-de-Lys does have a special meaning indeed, for you living in Japan it is hard for knowing all the Royal emblems of Europe but this is so typical French and I've always loved it.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,

ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty display filled with cheerful atmosphere :-)
Dearest Tamago,
DeleteOh, it is a lovely atmosphere no doubt and we are very happy with such cute gifts.
But I'm afraid that for tonight with -2°C or 28°F their lace scarfs will not be quite warm enough...
Hugs,
Mariette
Liebe Mariette,
Mariette
Beautiful, Easter is a blessed time of renewal, loved it! A big kiss and happy spring ....
ReplyDeleteSilvia
Dearest Sílvia,
DeleteThank you and yes, Easter is a perfect time for going back to the very beginning and starting new.
Enjoy your spring time as well and thanks for your visit and comment, all the way from Brazil.

Mariette
Ger
Lieve Ger,
Mariette
Daffodils and bunnies………so very cute, Mariette. Hope your are enjoying beautiful weather.
ReplyDeleteDearest Sarah,
DeleteThat's the ideal spring combination. Easter is such a joyful time of renewal and flowers do pick us up. Yes, we're now enjoying beautiful weather after our last night with frost around 28°F. Feels great!
Hugs and happy weekend to you.
Mariette
Yes, those bunnies are very sweet and lovely daffodils. I also like the fabric in the background. Glad you had such a nice trip and got to visit with so much of the family. :) Have a lovely day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteDearest Tammy,
DeleteSweet bunnies with lovely daffodils indeed! You will get to see our Fleur-de-Lys fabric in my next post; long overdue!
Oh, the trip was lovely as there was no winter at all in The Netherlands and it was great to see everyone even though if you are with 51 together there is not much time for visiting with all during a coffee/tee time, followed by a dinner... But most important was that Mom & Dad were so happy to be surrounded by their loved ones!
Hugs and lovely day to you (yours probably is winding down...).
Mariette
Very funny! A nice Easter tradition, that we haven't. in Spain
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for sharing your way of life
Marina
Dearest Marina,
DeleteOh, Easter traditions do change from culture to culture and even with Spain not being that far away from northern Europe, it still is different.
Have a lovely weekend!
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteyou are German son and daughter in law your did recive lovely Easter bunnies and hearts.
Erica always giveing her teart to yours in mort carcing way.
They drove up to yours from all the way from the beautiful Eifel in Germany.

Daffodils inside a French Baccarat Gyotal vase.
I was very happy for in your suitcasos ha ha
Hugs and love to you!
Michiko
Dearest Michiko,
DeleteFrom our German 'son and daughter-in-law' we indeed received these lovely Easter bunnies and hearts. Erika is very caring and giving, she literally gives her heart to others.
Indeed they did come long distance n order to gift Mom & Dad with the beautiful handled willow basket filled with gourmet food from their region.
Too bad that daffodils inside our Baccarat crystal vase never last that long, especially not when the airconditioning is still heating during nights with frost... Their petals are like paper, very frail and they dry out real fast.
Always such a joy to unpack our suitcases with beautiful gifts like this!
Hugs and admiration to you always.
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteSo cute little bunnies. They will fit nicely for Easter.
I guess the flowers is typical for the Netherlands?
I remember the tulips and daffodils from our visit on Texel, so beautiful!
Hope you've got the money now. I added some coins for your bank fee.
The small cardigan was very cute. Love it! (the link you showed me)
I wish you both a nice weekend
Astrid
Dearest Astrid,
DeleteThose bunnies are cute and yes, flower bulbs are typically Dutch! We however did search for only heirloom and highly fragrant varieties to plant on our property. We've planted early, mid and late blooming varieties as well but since the weather has been off so badly we can hardly tell... We were so glad for having at least some to fill our vase!
Thank you, I just did log in to our bank account and yes it is there. I got behind with Internet as we just did switch to DishNET via satelite for our High Speed Internet as the other one got 1,000 times disconnected over the last month. I lost so much while typing things and I had to copy each comment before hitting the publish button. Now I can just rely on the system which is great!
Oh, that miniature knitting I had to share with you; what a patience to knit that tiny... There are artistic people around and you are one of them too!
Happy weekend to both of you; we just had our last frost during the night. Feels great.
Hugs,
Mariette
Mariette
I love your daffodils, Mariette - and the bunnies add such a sweet touch to your spring decor, too! <3
ReplyDeleteDearest Stacy,
DeleteThank you, those are heirloom daffodils and very fragrant. We selected only heirlooms.
The bunnies are so cute and a lovely gift for taking home with us.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteI love those Daffodils. those bunnies are just in time for us to chase away the Winter blues.
I have not been visiting too many blogs. My dizziness is better and my BP is still high but out side of danger.
Please take care of yourself.
_ Munir
Dearest Munir,
DeleteYeah, for us it was hard to come home from a very mild and far advanced spring weather in The Netherlands, to more frost and cold here in Georgia. We had severe damage from a tornado in our subdivision, our home and garden were fine though. But now we have had our last frost and spring is here!
Hope you are soon feeling better!
Hugs,
Mariette
Mariette what a beautiful display you have created with the Daffodils and bunnies. The bunnies are gift that I know you will treasure for years to come. Happy week-end .. hugs and blessings, C. (HHL)
ReplyDeleteDearest Celia,
DeleteThank you and yes, I had to make these photos while we still had these fresh double daffodils. That makes one really happy and with those bunnies that looked perfect. We will treasure them as they were such gifts of love.
Happy weekend to you as well.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteYou have such an amazing taste for beauty and beautiful things, and for arranging them in the most stunning way! Those sweet bunnies and hearts are certainly a great addition to your beautiful home! The daffodils are wonderful!!!!
Hugs from the Alps :)
Dearest Anna,
DeleteThank you so much and above all, those bunnies and hearts were such a sweet gift!
We enjoy each spring our heirloom fragrant daffodils, however short the period lasts.
Hugs,
Mariette
