On August 6, I did capture a few photos of our flaming red Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis 'Snow Queen' - Variegated. Let me show it to you:
Tropical Hibiscus Variegated Snow Queen
See link below post from Emerald Goddess Gardens
Now you can see our white picket fence underneath the red blossom... The Southern Magnolia tree is to the left.
We view this from our bay window area and it is in a pot.
You also find them in the link from Almost Eden Plants, below this post.
Here you clearly can see the picket fence and the magnolia trees. The Japanese magnolia tree to the right and its leaves above in this photo. Our Southern Magnolia tree is to the left...
Do you have a variegated hibiscus in red?

hello
Bisous,
Mariette
Your hibiscus is beautiful. Mine is pink and double.
ReplyDeleteDearest Kay,
DeleteThis one is beautiful and striking due to its variegated leaves. We too have a pink and double variety and one other very large and special, our Kona. They are listed under the links below my post.
Hugs,
Mariette
Your hibiscus is gorgeous! It's interesting tropical flower is called Snow Queen :-)
ReplyDeleteDearest Tamago,
DeleteGuess they named it that way for its 'white' variegated leaves otherwise that naming doesn't make much sense.
Hugs,
Mariette

Dearest Inês,
DeleteHibiscus is one of the most beautiful flowers and it belongs also to our favorites.
Happy Sunday!
Hugs,
Mariette
Dear Mariette, you can't even imagine how many sweet memories this flower brings to my mind: it's about when I was a little girl, about my family and my old dear grandparents!
ReplyDeleteThank you for giving me this "present"!
Dearest Annette,
DeleteThanks for your touching comment. Geraniums always bring back frond memories of my early childhood when my Mom had those as indoor plants in the window sill. Their fragrance is forever embedded into my memory and they always evoke fond memories...
Guess the earliest memories are the deepest embedded.
Hibiscus flowers are very special and you cannot but love this plant.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Liebe Mariette,
ReplyDeleteHibiskus ist wirklich eine wunderschön Blüte.
herrlich, was du uns gezeigt hast.
Ich besitze eine Topfpflanze mit safrangelben Blüten.
Ich werde sie auch mal fotografieren.
Einen schönen Sonntagabend wünscht dir
Irmi
Liebe Irmi,
Lieber Gruss,
Mariette
Truly beautiful! Wish we could grow such lovelies as your red Hibiscus in our part of the world. Thank you for sharing it. Hugs and blessings, C. (HHL)
ReplyDeleteDearest Celia,
DeleteThank you for your comment and visit and yes, it is a delicate tropical plant that needs protection from frost. Hence the reason we keep it inside a pot to move it inside our greenhouse for the winter.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Beautiful flower and what a color!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Dearest Elna,
DeleteOh, this red is so striking against the variegated green with white leaves.
A beauty!
Hugs,
Mariette

Michiko
Dearest Michiko,
DeleteSo glad you could stop by and visit this lovely red Hibiscus flower.
They bloom in order to share with you.
Sending you lots of love,
Mariette
I have never seen a flower like that
ReplyDeleteDearest Jo-Anne,
DeleteWe mostly do have rare exotic plants.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! This blossom looks like a rare and delightful tropical bird. I always love seeing your grounds and gardens.
Love to you, Ginger
Dearest Ginger,
DeleteThanks for you visit and kind comment. Oh and we both also love seeing our gardens when the work has been done and no muddy areas... We enjoy this part of summer tremendously before going into cooler weather.
Hugs to you both,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteHaha, I also wondered about the naming for this GORGEOUS flower(*^_^*) Lovely red one♡♡♡
You sure must have wonderful view with lots of greens!!! And white picket fence is really cute♬♬♬ I love Japanese Magnolia with pink color.
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan to my dear American friend, xoxo Miyako*
Dearest Miyako,
DeleteIndeed this name hardly makes any sense...!
The white picket fence (vinyl) is lovely and it adds to the overall view. Let's hope that we get to see some lovely blossoms next spring on our Japanese Magnolia in pink color. This spring they all got frozen by late frost...
Lots of hugs and love to you from the USA,
Mariette
Your house and your garden are beautiful and you always delight us with such lovely flowers like this pretty red one! Thank you so much for your sweet and kind comments and inetresting as well...I appreciate them so much. How wonderful you lived so close to Belgium...an hour! Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Dearest Fabby,
DeleteGlad that we can delight you with our rare and exotic flowers!
In Western Europe distance between countries is nothing compared to the USA. But Belgium used to belong to the Low Countries but Napoleon divided the Map different and created a new country...
Hugs to you and enjoy a lovely new week too.
Mariette
It's lovely to have so many different trees and plants and blooms surrounding you. My balcony needs a major cleaning and plants replaced because of the heat. We will travel again next month for a week so maybe should wait since there will be no one to water at that time.
ReplyDeleteThe dishcloths measure 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches. I had given one to a lady a couple of years ago and when I saw her at the Sadu House the other night, she said she is still using it. :)
Have a great week. Tammy
Dearest Tammy,
DeleteThanks for your visit and comment on our plant(s). It is nice to be surrounded by them, especially if they stay alive. But we lost so many roses to the drought and also trees and shrubs... This was in 2011 and now it was too wet; that too killed some of them.
Sure your region is very hard for plants to survive, especially when no one can water them. What about Jingles when you are traveling? Hope she gets taken care of!
Such dish cloths for sure bring lots of joy and they can be used for many years. Labor of love!
Wishing you a happy week and hugs,
Mariette
Good Morning Mariette, Hibiscus bushes gift us with such beautiful flowers and your plant is no exception.
ReplyDeleteI have a hibiscus bush which I am trying to grow, but I think it is too cold here in the North of England. I will put it into the greenhouse to over winter, so fingers cross it survives. If it does not, then I will always be able to come back and enjoy your beautiful Hibiscus.
Best Wishes to you,
Daphne
Dearest Daphne,
DeleteOur Hibiscus also have to go inside the greenhouse during winter, hence they are in a pot.
Glad you enjoyed ours!
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteThis is a magnificent red Hibiscus! Red Hibiscus is very common on Rhodes (it's one of the symbols of the island), but it's a different variety. I love Hibiscus flowers!
Have a wonderful week, dear Mariette!
Hugs to you and your furry babies!
Dearest Anna,
DeleteThanks for your sweet words! There is even Hibiscus tea... so this is a very popular plant but there are so many varieties. This one is a rare exotic. Thanks for sending a hug for our furry babies and I'm sending them back to you and yours.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed a very special plant!!! I also have hibiscus, as they are common in Greece, as Annuk said, but not this beautiful exotic variety. Your garden looks so beautiful, you are lucky to have rains, here in Athens we just had the first rain of the autumn today, just for a little while, but it was refreshing.
Thanks for your visit and kind comment, the clocks are destined to a Christmas charity and that's why the greek bloggers are making or recycling so many!!!!
Hugs!!!!
Marie-Anne
Dearest Marie-Anne,
DeleteWe had heavy rains this afternoon while I was driving... no fun but I arrived home safely! We had way too much rain this summer but now we enjoyed sunshine, starting the last week of August. On the side here above you can always see our weather.
Yes, our hibiscus is an exotic one and that's why we have this too.
Loved your clocks and even more since I know they are for a Christmas charity. Labor of LOVE we call that.
Hugs,
Mariette
Lieve Mariette,
Liefs,
Mariette
